					| Is Denuvo intrusive on the computer? So far all I can see is that it lowers performance and can make a game buggy. Is it also a rootkit? If it makes the game slower and more buggy that's one thing but if it fucks with the boot process and Windows itself that's a whole nother thing.

					| Makers of Denuvo will always be one step ahead. (improving protection in every update/release).
In the future, this will be the ultimate challenge for the scene.

chill out man, life is beautifull...

the team that developed denuvo is responsible for securom and various sony rootkits labeled as drm. personally i would not support them, not matter how different and safe denuvo is.

					| So, I guess that most publishers will start using this Denuvo bullshit on their games and we are all fucking then. How does Denuvo work exactly? It randomizes a serial code each time .exe is started and checks it online by some database or something?

					| I don't think there's been that many saying its not crackable, only that'll be a tough nut to crack, as in months to a year.

					| It's something new, so it should take some time, but I think it's safe to say in the end of the day it would be uncrackable only in the eyes of it's creators. Like everything else until this point.
btw: R* should use denuvo on GTA V and become the ultimate trolls.

					| BTW, I'm not really against DRM that does not hurt or interfere the paying customer experience (oxymoron?). But if this hurts performance... | |

Okay well that's not much specific information. Sure they're slimy and the whole point of DRM is highly questionable of course. I just don't know what Denuvo does besides some sort of encryption while running but it doesn't seem to alter the boot process as does the old rootkit drm crap. I will cancel my preorder if I find it's doing more than I am comfortable with.

edit: I already have a separate windows install for Origin so it's already sandboxed..

					| From a gamer's standpoint what's worse is not having shit to play because we're busy skipping games for a growing list of various reasons.

Supporting the DRM. Individual garbages come and go, but the DRM is a sticky garbage, with much higher potential to stink if it sticks.

You know what's worse? Lowering your standards as a gamer to find more games to play.
