Umm, no, did you misread or what? He ran straight at me, probably wanted to steal my phone or shouldercheck me.

I did not, someone running towards me doesn't mean I should punch the guy.
Are you that scared or? Why did you assume he wanted to do something bad?
Some more info? Because for most people running towards and him being a gypsy still doesn't say enough about a situation

Actually, for most people, someone running straight at them, at night, is enough to make them react. Adding the fact that he's a gypsy, and i'm in romania, while you're in sweden, i don't see the problem here.

Njeh, guess we differ quite a bit on that then. I react when the situation asks for it, not when I assume it does.
So Romanian Gypsies are different then Belgian or Swedish ones then? Otherwise I have no idea why you'd bring my location up.

It's just another form of communication, what the gypsy really said was "hey dude, sorry to bother you at this late hour, do you have a smoke?" and you simply replied "no smoking for you, you'll get lung cancer, here, let me demonstrate the pain" and then he said "oh that hurts, thank you very much I'll never smoke again".

Meh. | In case you used your fist, next time try to avoid that, you don't want to break your fingers over trying to defend yourself from a thief. Use your open hand/base of palm to strike him in his solarplexus. This'll knock him down pretty hard and he won't get up so fast as he'll most likely try to breath again, which won't work for some seconds...
