I tried Tixati once too. I dislike that the download speed on the torrents was not shown like for example 2.5 mb/s but instead something like 2545K

I'm an oldass uTorrent user too, currently on the latest version which has optional ads (some tweaking was required before). Can't complain really.
Though I don't use torrents as much as I used to before, since private sites hate my 0.3KB/s upload speed and the various firedrive/bu have become quite the handy alternative for a peasant like me.

Deluge.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

and i use latest version with ads removed for a tracker which banned 2.2.1
both version works fine.
tried qbittorrent but is not working as well like utorent from my pov.
for example same 17gb torrent from tpb with 0 seeders was completed on utorrent (1 week) when qbittorrent manage to get only ~43%. same box, same uptime both.
will try tixati to.

depends where you are and what you're getting. I'm in the states and the only time I ever got letters was from random porn I got. Never movies or games lol. I'm on a private tracker now though that's pretty strict with it's privacy.

Hah damn..didn't know that they actually care about our porn stash, them nasty voyeurs :S
I guess though when someone downloads 20GB of HD squirrels mating sessions, things do get a lil' bit suspicious indeed xD

my point is that 1.7 was not that great. 1.8.1 was greatly improved vs 1.7 aswell.
from my pov 2.2.1 is the best in the series, but is still have problems with disk cache.
and utorrent added utp like 2 years before transmission. (afaik).
on my ubuntu vm i use transmission aswell. but if utorrent would had a native client which would work aswell on linux like on windows i would use utorrent.

utorrent... seriously |
Oh stop being so full of yourself. Are you still in your teens?
Sounds the same like those idiots that go: loel windows I use linux. Even though they never even got close to working properly with different clients other than their favourite one. |
Seriously, stop making stupid comments to hide your ignorance or incompetente on this subject. Utorrent was great until it was sold, around version 1.7
|
And my point was stop being a silly twat.
It's your childish behaviour, of putting people down because of your own insecurity.
I don't give a toss about your windows vs linux rhetoric or your whine about which client is superiour or the chosen one by you.
My advice: drop the attitude and learn to be humble, since you are far from being the god you think you are. Fucking sound like me when I was 16 ffs...

I'm using the piratebay with the bittorrent client. Gets the series and movies no problem.
Good enough for me.

I don't understand this talk about utorrent bloat.
I'm using version 3.3 build 29625, disabled the ads/promos in the advanced settings. The executable filesize is 784kb and Process Hacker reports that it's using 14.3 mb private memory when idling.
I mean, sure there are other very good clients I'm sure, feel free to use them but why spread bullshit about utorrent?
EDIT: Why isn't this on Applications like all the other "which torrent client" threads?

the actual true benchmarks ever done show transmission working with less resources than utorrent, but hell yeah, it's just 16 year oldish bull shit
that's why it works when companies buy software with once a good reputation. you can completely fuck up and still have positive credits for years. same reason why facebook preferred buying whatsapp instead of pushing their own solution.
i am not here to convince you all, but the kind of replies of the Belgian Swedish god explain pretty well why utorrent is still the number 1 client worldwide
how can you discuss if someone even doesn't understand that ads, rss feeds, search feature, etc.. are non-added value bloat? hell, we even do not take into account all other crap which can be active under the hood. the binary multiplied by 5 size wise! i expect the installed version even bigger in size.
just the knowledge that utorrent is maintained by a US company should already be a huge red flag for average intelligent people, taking into account all the NSL crap which was discovered with the Snowden leaks

Did I ever talk about utorrent? No. I said I used utorrent 2.2.1 and Deluge, the only time I mentioned utorrent in this thread.
I have been commenting on your condescending attitude towards people using utorrent (and that attitude has been shown on other subjects, reason my outburst here. Sometimes one can get fed up with it...).
So take the bullshit of Quote: | the actual true benchmarks ever done show transmission working with less resources than utorrent, but hell yeah, it's just 16 year oldish bull shit | elsewhere. I have only attacked the shitty attitude of yours.
But hey you know everything better than everyone else ey... So maybe you already know your attitude stinks most of the time

Nah it was the last drop, your past behaviour was the reason that made that silly post into a "oh ffs, not that shit again" moment.
Any who, I said my thoughts.
