Doesn't sweetfx already allows you to take pics? Print screen.

@rubim

It's all good mate Smile It stopped me from being lazy at least, hehe. I tried adding a few weapons last night too but egh.. Fable Explorer/Dark Net stuff is just too clunky and unwieldy for me. Whenever I tried to any FMPs via the "Load Mod" menu, it just errored out with random errors. I'll pass on that. The hack chest with the books and keys is all that matters <3

@JBeckman

Nice one for writing that up, JB Smile

@Drowning_witch

Pffft, I've used WinAMP for over 16 years and I see no reason to ever switch Razz

@IamAWESOME

Absolutely I can share, I did it last night for hellishere - saves faffing about with files. This automatically has the DemonDoor_Guild file edited with Rubim's chest as well as the "Free Roam" mod applied, which removes *most* of the invisible walls on the landscape.. it doesn't bring anything substantial to the game but it does make it feel a lot more open.

https://www.firedrive.com/file/2CDD94C0462C17B9

Go into "FableData\Build\Levels" and copy/backup/rename FinalAlbion.wad and creature_hub.tng then simply extract the contents of this archive to your "Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\FableData\Build" folder, overwrite when prompted. This will be the "uselevelwad FALSE;" edited INI files, the extracted FinalAlbion.wad data, the Free Roam mod *and* Rubim's cheatchest mod applied.

Would be nice to see more complex mods if this works instead of using the official tools which only support partial modding. Smile

I'm using notepad++.

For some awesome reason, you can mod the maps while in game. Change the map by editing the appropriate file then just 'reload' the map (teleport out and in).

Very interesting, and it looks like it's also possible to apply other Fable:TLC mods by using/altering the original files. Smile

http://steamcommunity.com//sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=136498001

That guide will show how to install the free-roam modification which removes many of the invisible barriers in the game.

But first for back-up purposes these two files:

FinalAlbion.wad
creature_hub.tng

In this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\FableData\Build\Data\Levels\

Should be moved or renamed first so you can replace the modified files with the original ones should it be desired, I think you have to rename the FinalAlbion.wad file either way so it'll load the unpacked data.

And then make a copy of the FinalAlbion folder since the mod will replace a number of existing files there.

After doing that go here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\FableData\Build

And open this file:

default_userst.ini
(Can also do the same to default_xuserst.ini )

Change:

UseLevelWAD TRUE;

to

UseLevelWAD FALSE;

And the game will instead use the unpacked data.

These pictures are taken with radialblur / dof / bloom / on ? If so, how come its not as blurry as mine?

It appear there's a maximum amount of items that can be available on a chest. Some books from my previous chest mod were missing.

Made a new chest with all the books.

Nice one Smile Supposedly all the defs are shipped decompiled too, so anyone can edit them and check out the object names for items you want. I guess *this* is why Lionhead aren't too keen on putting out an unneutered modkit for Anniversary, why would anyone pay $10 for a DLC pack of weapons/armours when they can simply give them all to themselves for free? Thanks for sharing, Sabin, but my game doesn't seem to work now. Sad

creature_hub.lev and creature_hub.tng should go inside \Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\FableData\Build\Data\Levels, right?

Erk? Neutral I'm not sure bud, I gave you the exact files I have and it works just fine on my end. Just restore the backups and you may have to go through everything manually.

~edit~

Yes, they go in Levels. Everything *should* be set just fine based on folder structure in the archive. Inside "Levels" is also where FinalAlbion.wad is, which you needed to backup/rename and inside "Levels" is the extracted FinalAlbion folder.

http://steamcommunity.com/app/204030/discussions/0/864943421895490106/?l=english

Just follow that to install/decompress properly, remember the folder structure is different now since it's Anniversary.

Code:
SteamApps\common\fable the lost chapters\data\Levels

becomes;

SteamApps\common\Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\FableData\Build\Data\Levels

Once that's done, you can edit DemonDoor_Guild.tng yourself. Don't forget to make sure you edit the *userst.ini files inside "SteamApps\common\Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\FableData\Build" and set "UseLevelWad TRUE;" to "FALSE;"

FMP or what I guess is Fable Mod Package works with http://fabletlcmod.com/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=1330&start=0& (Fable Explorer)

Download both attachments and replace the def.xml file from the zip archive with the updated one from the other attachment.

Start Fable Explorer and go to File -> Open and change Fable Big Archive to Fable Bin Archive as the file type to target.

Browse to this folder:
.\Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\FableData\Build\Data\CompiledDefs\Development

And select to open names.bin and then open game.bin, now would be a good time to also back up these two files.

With both those open (First names and then game .bin.) go to File -> Load Fable Mod Package

Select the FMP (Not all will work with this version of the game.) and this will merge it with the loaded data.

Go to Actions and select to save and run Fable, program will throw a exception (It can't find Fable since this is just the game data.) click to ignore and then press OK on the button that appears asking to confirm when Fable has been exited.

That should be all, while it does throw that error the data is saved and then in-game you can now use the scroll-wheel (Or gamepad) to zoom out seven times instead of two.

I have not experimented much farther than this but I'm currently trying to make the first person camera work with this.

Alternatively download this - http://www37.zippyshare.com/v/84912751/file.html
- and replace the existing two .bin files and skip doing all that other work. Very Happy
(Backup existing files though.)

EDIT: First person, though broken since the camera is static.

After more research i found that you're not supposed to have more than a X number of books.

This is BAD, my chest will fuck this quest.

A fix, but you will have to start a new game OR get rid of all the books (and i dont know how).

GET 5 BOOKS, TURN IN
GET 5 MORE, TURN IN
REPEAT

Oh.. shit. I do NOT want to start a new game and I've already collected the books from your first chest. Also, the archive from my Firedrive link is broken - the pathing is screwed up and it already incorporates your original cheatchest which, as you say, breaks the quest.. haha.

Here's the proper one! Simply extract the contents to your FableData folder. Pre modded with Free Roam and ready for TNG editing. No chest editing included, just base data.

https://www.firedrive.com/file/1B5DBC1D060DC624

~edit~

Phew!!! I had a checkpoint save *just* as I entered the Demon Door, before opening your first chest Very Happy

What presets? In the "traditional" joypad controls, you can assign up to 3 spells across a dozen presets and the Y button switches between them. In Fable 2/3 method, you can only have ONE spell (assigned to B button) and you have to toggle it. It's a PITA and a shame because while the F2/F3 controls are more intuitive, the magic system is terrible and restrictive.

It seems the book thing really has screwed up the game by already having books before using your 5 chests, because I've got 23 books in my inventory *despite* giving 25 to the school teacher for the quest. Now any books I pick up just "vanish" and don't in there :\ I don't know what issues this will have on later quests, I'll let you know if I discover anything.
