Mods will fix it.
Or go and fix it yourself.

My point is that it's very disappointing after Cyseal. I can understand them housing merchants under one roof since the village is very small but to give them only one line of dialogue just destroy immersion for me.

The merchants don't even have any proper dialogue apart from one line which you get when you speak to then. From then on you can either end the conversation or barter, nothing else. Smells like lack of effort. :I |
Honestly? What did you expect to see in
Spoiler: | cult outpost full of lunatics? |
It's also main reason why I chose to kill most of them instead of following that initiation quest. Though now I don't know if I'll be able to close/finish those quests...

Well if they would have tons of completely pointless dialogue I couldnt care less if its one sentence or walls of text. Its always like that in most rpgs - more important characters have more complex dialogues.
JBeckman - thanks, I was worried they got the time/funds to mostly focus on that intial area, good to hear that second map is bigger with more stuff, I`ve just run through it and it seemed smaller lol.

I'm not anywhere near as far as that yet but, from what I've seen so far, nearly all NPCs have the same questions and answer randomly from a list. There's a few unique responses but I'd rather have NPCs ONLY having unique responses instead of having to go through all the same responses over and over just in case a new piece of evidence is given. Think Morrowind and why that's not a good thing.
It kinda shows the limits of their budget and time - too many RPGs make the same mistake of skimping while RPG fans want exactly that: an immersive world where NPCs have unique lines.

There's more to the second area than meets the eye, you'll get to it eventually.
Cyseal is a small city, Silverglen is just an outpost/mining camp.

Its the same with any rpg, more major characters have more elaborate dialogues, while generic ones have default texts about usual stuff. You cant write unique dialogues for every npc, and thats fine - I preffer it this way instead of spending hours in town seeing if I can get anything worth wile from every single npc. And usually its done in the way that those default npcs dont have their unique name, just a title like citizen or legionnaire.

Max level cap? Is it still 20?
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Evelyn and the healing stone;
Spoiler: |
Love the nod towards the original Divine Divinity, but I hope it's more than just a nod; does anyone know of a way of getting ANOTHER healing stone? In the original DD game you had to use a magic mirror and a pool of water to create a second stone - is something like that possible in this? Or is there another stone somewhere?
Thanks!
|
Also, do quests have a time limit and if so, how do you tell how long you have to complete it? There's no day/night cycle any more so no "real" passing of time.
~edit~
Oh and thanks to Ramalan, I equipped the shovel on one my of secondary skill bars and "manually" used it behind the orc. Works fine, though my party consists of a dex-Ranger and an Int-Wiz so there's no use for the "reward" yet

Yep, I was either 6 or 5 when I did it. Special arrows and spell scrolls are your friend.

I was able to get that done with my non-companion party duo at level 5, it was a pretty rad fight and I think I got by with 1 scroll and summoning a fire elemental once.

Jeez there are some almost impossible fights in Phantom Forest. I think I'll actually have to skip them.

This game has really some hardcore puzzles, created by fucking lunatic/madmen who really need to see doctor for medication prescription. Quests are already hard to finish, but noo, they put also some hardcore puzzles where without internet and searching for some answers you will not finish or maybe you will, but in a few whole days. This game has wrong name, it should be named " You shall not pass".
Why in the hell they fuck up crafting so much? Making food quickly become useless. You waste a lot of time gathering resources, then why not waste a lot of time for finding out what combinations are, and then you eat that what you just made and you are healed 0.5%. Then why not waste that extra time for finding combinations for ( in already confused inventory,) making magic arrows that are weak when you shoot. I think one use spells, making magic arrows, and so detail crafting is useless and not needed. For that large scale of crafting, game is to short, there is not enough enemies to test all that. I'm sure they will balance all that in upcoming patches.
It's a good thing they did not put quest pointer/finder, game is more interesting, but quests are even harder to finish comparing it to morrowind, at least in morrowind they explained a lot more in journal. I never saw something like this in any game. Pure evil game.
I'm at last puzzle before ending, and that puzzle is for blowing up Larian studio with a suicide bomber.

Not for nothin', but the fucking double standards this game imposes on the player is really starting to grind my fucking gears....
I stand in so much as an ember and I catch fire like a fucking Hindenburg Christmas tree doused in kerosene.....
A named Ice Elemental fucking rains down the apocalypse in hellfire and brimstone, and he wades through it with not so much as a second though....
But it's OK, because it's his fire, right?
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

If you're having problems with that chick eve, I suggest you abuse your Spoiler: | triangles |
Aggro, kill the adds, use the item mentioned above, come back and keep doing it, it's easiest if u have a mage, also you can abuse the Spoiler: | teleport spell and put her ass at your mercy in between all 4 of you lol |
Or use my ROFLCOPTER strategy of Lone wolf/Glass Canon
Spoiler: | Use fireball/Boulder drop cast invis, rinse repeat every 2 turns | My god I feel soo bad for cheesing it. After waiting for a long time for a game like this

Is there anything big known to be being planned for this game?
I've played the game only a little, while waiting bugs to be fixed and hoping to learn if it's going to get a lot of dlc.
