In flight sims or anything with flight I rather have inverted.
Of course for flight games this is necessary, but i thought he was talking about shooters and etc. Because i have see this option in lots of shooters and i just consider it very weird to play like that...
Well with shooters, it's actually a smoother movement, especially when you need to respond fast... But I can't be arsed to get used to it since I have been using the normal setting for a decade . + I don't play competitive for a while now.
KC is the only person whose troll posts look identical to the genuine ones. It really confuses the hell out of me at times.
Unless he's always serious, of course

Nah ofc I was joking but to be serious i very often play with 360 controlelr on pc. Either mouse+kb support is so bad or game really benefeits from controller (like action platformers or Dark Souls). You know, games with not only bad mouse implementation but also unsuferable inventory to use with mouse

a lot of Valve games, where this is handled very nicely
If you consider requiring console commands to remove mouse acceleration/smoothing in CS 1.6 to be "handled very nicely." (Yeah, for all I know they've fixed it by now, but still, it took fucking forever.)
Only a total PC shooter neophyte would consider that to be an amazing way of handling input.

this thread is such a hypocritical pile of shit. "proper pc controls" and then he talks ONLY about mouse+keyboard control scheme. oh so suddenly steering wheels for racing games isn't proper? joysticks for flight games isn't proper? gamepads for 3rd person adventure/patformer games isn't proper? just gtfo with your elitist mouse bullshit, you aren't a real pc gamer. beauty of PC is you can use so many control schemes and don't need to be limited to just one.
"beauty of PC is you can use so many control schemes and don't need to be limited to just one."
What if I want to use a mouse in a game (which would otherwise be ideal for mouse aiming - like a shooter), yet I am unable. Where is the beauty then?
Anyway, this campaign is to make better a certain facet of gaming, I don't see what problem anyone could have with that. We're not taking anything away ...
i love great mouse controls in shooters and i fully understand your frustration, but there are so many more game genres than just shooters. should devs waste time on great mouse controls in driving games instead of great wheel/gamepad controls? i really hope you don't believe that.
you gotta be joking here. everyone on this forum is a troll, heck, trolling is even encouraged with troll emoticons and other "4chan" influences here.
look at your post even, do not feed the troll followed by trollface
And yet, you're one of a few who is constantly actually trolling in order to provoke some flaming. Using a trollface is hardly trolling. Nothing in your post was even implied by the OP, much less the point of it.
every PC game, which uses a mouse, should include the Ïnvert Vertical Look option. I still cannot believe that there are games, which do not allow this.
Seriosly? I always wonder when i see this option in games, who in the hell uses it..? I mean, up is up, move mouse up, down - move mouse down. How is it normal they to be switched, i just dont get it...
its simple - when you look at the mouse you see the mouse moving up and down. I see forward and backward movement. when I want to look down I move my head forward and when I want to look up I move my head backwards. there you go.
I've been playing this way for more than 15 years.
I think the overall point is that these options, whether they be inverse look/toggle aim/no mouse smoothing/acceleration etc, really have no excuse for being absent in the first place on the PC.
These things were staples back in the day before the plague of multi-platform development - there's no reason why they can't devote an extra day of development time to make sure that they're available to those that want them.
It boils down to either outright laziness or lack of giving two shits (I'm looking at you Ubisoft as well as all the Japanese developers) - and neither is acceptable.

Let's not derail this thread. You know very well, that I wasn't talking about mouse controls in driving games, I won't go in to this with you.
Cool idea, too bad PS4 and Xbone doesnt use mouse + kb, so its not gonna happen.
The worst thing was the PS2 and PS3 both had native hardware support for keyboard and mouse, but hone decision to use it was left up to the developers, who sadly almost never utilised it. The whole "unfair advantage" stuff was thrown around a lot

The plan with this campaign is to put pressure on publishers and developers.
It might work if you've got couple hundred milions of dollars to spend
From what I have read on various forums, this is not a non-issue. Imagine how many people had to buy controllers for their PC to be able to play games, that otherwise have no excuse to work as shitty with a KM.
People care. I have done many regional and country wide social campaigns, and those got many tens of thousands engaged, without spending money on it.
It has to be well thought out, and have a core number of people, who will promote it in the initial wave, and if the content is good, it will spread. Then perhaps moron journos will pick up the story.
