Nice, keep posting
Make sure that you don't risk shorting anything though and if you're going to create holes for cable routing, stick to standard dimensions so you can cannibalise rubber grommets from another case too

i'm especially proud of the 5 200mm cut outs. Those are all manually done. I.e. drilled like a trillion holes and then with a hammer and a .. whatever it's called .. broke it out and then filed them to the perfect round that they are now lol. It's alu, so it's not the hardest job, but still, they're quite close to perfect round, so that's nice.
Going to hunt for old towers the next couple days, so i can salvage the shit out of them (especially mobo support, backpanel, HD casings etc. etc. I really don't feel like making them myself. Especially since those have have to be VERY exact (especially the mobo ones). After that it's basically down to assemble the whole thing. Hopefully next week tops (i also take it easy this week a bit, after having worked almost 60 hours last week, including friday and sunday night ...). I'm spent ...

Nice stuff!
But won't the steel frame corrode the aluminium? You better put some shim between them, maybe sticky felt or something like that!

yeah, recovered an old tower today, from which i'll salvage the motherboard back plate and more importantly the rear pci/e slots. The plate i'll probably make one my own, using the recovered one as a "model". Hopfully i get that done tomorrow, so the last 2 days of this week i can get all the rest done. I.e. drill all missing holes, cut all screws that are too long etc and pre-finish the corners etc. Then next week i polish everything (that needs polishing) with some 400 or something grain paper (or more, have to check in the store i guess).
oh and also have to add the power/reset button plate and a support for the dvdrom.

No sound proofing material? (seems a bit light for reduction out of it's own) that being said, looks nice so far.
