Nice feeling huh. I'm God Father to 3 girls now - oldest is 16 in a few months, youngest was born 5 months ago!

Guess it was.. an offer that you couldn't refuse xD
Congrats, I've never experienced it, but it's something that I would do, despite my aversion to anything christianity-related.

I think that as long as you're baptized, you should be good to go.
The canon also likely requires you to "live in conformity with the teachings of the church" (or something like that): just answer "yes I do" ( ) and everything will be fine.

being a godfather isn't anything religious or christian. They maybe made it out to, but it isn't. The kid isn't baptized to begin with and the parent's are atheists.

Don't have to be baptised to be a God-father in all cases, only catholic (and even then, not always)

Well religion evolves as well, just way slower than society.
I'm a godfather too, baptized and all, just never saw the need to officially renounce the church Just stupid tradition in my family, none of them are religious.
Anywho.... Congrats Sin! It's a nice feeling to be a godfather!
