So i'm thinking of getting me a new desktop rig. But I never really bought a computers in parts. I know how to assemble the whole shit, but it's the "what to buy" that pisses me off. So much choices. Anyway, I found some components that may be interesting, i'd like to know what you think of it and if you have some suggestion for better stuff.
Graphic card MSI GTX770 4GB
Mother board ASUS Z87-A
RAM G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Processor Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell 3.4GHz
Power Supply Thermaltake TR2 TR-700 700W
HDD1 Western Digital WD Black WD2002FAEX 2TB
HDD2 SanDisk SDSSDP-256G-G25 2.5" 256GB
Power Supply CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850W
Total : 1440$ CAN
I'm a fucking noob in this

2 power supplies?
Of the two though, the Corsair is the better one. That said, 850W is too much. 600-650W is what you want at most.
Other than that, nothing wrong with that selection.

Is it worth adding a liquid cooling system?

I don't think you'll see much benefit from a 4GB 770 over the 2GB version.

IMG link fail!!!
Besides, an 8-core FX 8350 overclocked to 4.8GHz can STILL not overtake a 3770K at STOCK. The 3570K/3770K can both reach 4.6GHz without any advanced overclocking skills. At those speeds any AMD FX in comparison would end up with their belly up in the pond.

Engine clearly uses 8-cores (thanks to last-gen AMD consoles), but on intel it really doesnt make any difference (i5 vs i7), on the AMD it does since the single core performance is so shit.

Whatever you choose, i5 or i7 you will be fine for the time until Intel releases real 8-core CPUs for the masses. 2GB VRAM is too low these days tho, and card like 770 is not going to benefit from 4GB.

Images work fine for me, you can just click at the link anyways
the whole point is that the guy wanted to buy an I5 4670k which is 4 cores, i asked him to get an I7 4770k not the FX8350, i only mentioned it cuz it's one of the weaker 8 core cpus but it was still competitive to a fuckin i7 in watch dogs which is pretty much the first game as far as i know that can benefit from the 8 cores, all the previous comparisons dont make sense imo.

So, better go for a 3970 than a 4770 ?
The "K" next to the number means it's unlocked and thus can be overclocked?

@Breezer_
your benchmark is ambiguous at best, it doesn't mention what resolution it's at, i assume it's at 1080p
also ask around the hump and everyone with similar hardware will tell that these numbers aren't at all true.
and where the fuck is the minimum fps for them, also this game largely known as an "nvidia" game, so using an R9 290x wont give optimal results, which you can see reflected in the top tier cpus and how there's no difference in fps what so ever.
@deadpoetic
i dont know, the 3970 is older ( not that it's bad ), but newer is better imo, also i'm not sure about the power consumption and heat production, i would only assume that it's worse than the 4770k in both of them
the K means that the multiplier is unlocked.

Good job on upgrading to that I7, should last you at least 2-3 years if not more.

you will have to use the DVI-VGA converter thingy that comes with the card.
obviously if you have a nice TV with an HDMI or DVI port, you can use that too.

Lol.
As long as the monitor can handle 60hz refresh (and that's the minimum for ALL monitors made the last 10 years except for a few that can go as low as 56hz).
I actually have a 4:3 monitor that does 50Hz (using it with my Commodore Amiga 1200 via new hardware called Indivision AGA MK2cr that gives me a DVI-out and access to higher resolutions than a 1200 could normally reach, flickerfixer, scandoubler etc. all-in-one. It contains a software flashable on-board storage chip to flash some of the ~40'ish modules. http://wiki.icomp.de/wiki/Indivision_AGA_MK2 ).
