I'm at the start and it feels cheap. The dialogues are tedious and unfunny (when trying to be funny) while there are no puzzles to really talk about.
I sure hope it gets better.

I think people need to compare it to the older games. In Broken Sword 1, you had virtually no puzzles at first either - BS was always very dialogue focused. At least half the puzzles involved asking the right people the right questions and cross examining.
The funny part is subjective, really. BS1 had very similar comedy although I felt it was a little more flamboyant in general. I quite enjoyed the café owner as a character in BS5 and Moue was as silly as always.
I think too many people expect the game something Broken Sword never was - it was never an object hunting game. Its puzzles were never of the "combine cat with washing machine" type and its comedy was never slapstick funny. It used dry wit and I feel it does that properly although there's less dialogue and, as a result, less room for silly side remarks.

I'm really tempted to play it, but I think I'll wait for part II to start everything, just like I'm doing with Broken Age.

Must be fake?
Or maybe labeled wrong as ep.2 instead of 1?
Revolution Software said that the EP2 was delayed until sometime in March. No info about a future release on the forum or on any other official places.

go back to page 4 of this topic to see how horrible it looked ... they repaired all of theirs own mistakes in this version , no more floating legs , all assets are ultra sharp , no more fucked up background continuation... they fixed all bugs , heck even those stiff animations ... now thats what i call dedication

Nice, haven't finished part 1 because of the cliffhanger at the end.

Anyone getting crashes with Broken.Sword.5.The.Serpents.Curse.Episode.2.REPACK-FLT ?
I loaded up a savegame from the end of episode 1 and George and Nico goes out on the roof of the burning building. When They say "we go to spain!" and the screen fades to black, the game crashes. So game stopping bug for me, or maybe bad crack?

Nope, works fine here. Did you do a fresh installation? Installing over the old one when the 1080p patch came out resulted in some strange bugs, maybe that's the case here.
