Nah, I don't think it's because of that. It was probably already planned, somebody else offered him more money and he followed his natural instinct

It's really bugging me (no pun intended xD) how PC games these days are so massively infested by bugs, I mean it's always been an issue..but now, it's becoming huge.
It's like everyone in the industry decided that it was cool to remove the QA entirely and replace it with direct beta testing on the field by the customers themselves. Those lazy asses.

Okay, it's been a long day, and to wind down, I have finally decided to give Origins a chance now that a couple of patches are out. Maybe I am just really tired, but I must be missing something. Is there an option to enable DX11? because I am not seeing it, and the game is running in DX9 mode by default.

If you mean when both sides make words that don't match, then yes it's trial/error - there's an annoying Enigma challenge that has you cracking a password within 10 seconds, and there are 9 possible combinations.
If you mean the sequencer just won't work, then you'll probably need a keycard or something later in the game.

Shit, just got hit with the Bane fight bug and I can't seem to get past it, no matter how many times I restart. Any tips?

Restart, restart again, hope for the best. Try fighting, dying and then restart. It took me 5-6 tries, but managed to beat it (although I'm still not sure it went the way it was supposed to ) and finish the game.

thx, maxquality sounds like it could mess up some settings but aniso at 16 should be fine and maybe it will sharpen the textures a little bit

Even with the patches there are still lots of bugs, especially if you don't play according to the game's plan:
The GCPD sequence after you meet Barbara and have to escape through the air duct - well I didn't go into the air duct right away but chose to check out the server room instead. So a few seconds later I was facing a dozen armed SWAT and did a reload checkpoint...suddenly Batman reappears floating and then respawned way down in the Cellblock. So I went back up towards the room with the air duct, beat up all the armed SWAT guys and now there was an invisible wall that prevented me from getting in the server room.
I reloaded again, spawned directly behind the SWAT guys this time, invisible wall still there.
So I let myself get killed, on reload I fell through the floor AGAIN and ended up in the Cellblocks AGAIN. So I went back up AGAIN. Beat up the SWAT guys AGAIN. Expected the invisible wall - but it was not there. So I finally reached the air duct, went through, the next encounter all the enemies are stuck inside the floor. Miraculously I could get past them, to the next section, triggered the correct curtscene and managed to finally escape GCPD. Already thought I was stuck there and had to start the game all over.
Fuckin strange bugfest.
That's when I started backing up saves regularly and it was a wise decision.
An hour later I flew past the Dockside Murder crime scene, triggered it, but chose to ignore it for now.
Collected a few datapacks, came back to the crime scene and solved the crime. Then I noticed that ALL the time the crime has never been registered in the Database! I googled and found out there is a bug where only 8/9 crime scenes get registered. So I restored one of my backup saves, did the crime scene again and this time it worked.
Fuckin pain in the ass that is. I think I need to write some kind of batch script now that backs up the SpSave_v2_0.sgd every 30 minutes.
Also, is the DOF bugged? Turning it off has no effect, the DX11 DOF only works inside and in zoom vision it visibly blurs everything that is farther than 2m away.
Its totally useless! I have left it on Normal for now.

Those lazy asses. | welcome to the state of industry from 2012 and up ... release buggy games not even beta tested to the population ... population tests it for FREE and you get a patch for bugs found ... same as with DEADLY PREMONITION one guy fixes a game for a company that was to cheap to beta test it on PC before release
why pay for beta testers when FANMODS or fans can do if for you FOR FREE

I think this was a great game and everything but it seriously was not worth my time collecting all the Enigma shit. Literally nothing for all that hard work.

I actually did collect all the side stuff in Batman Arkham Asylum and it was ok. I didn't find it boring. However, in Arkham City, I got bored fairly quickly and I just focused on the story.

Is it just me or is the Riddler collectable stuff a bit lazy this time?
Like I'd find some that are literally just on a wall and out in the open, without any puzzle or switch. You just walk right up to it and grab it.
If I remember correctly, in the last game, they all required at least some extra action. If nothing else, behind a destructible wall or something.

The last game had some of this as well and there are a few more complicated ones in origin, but City still had better thought out puzzles.

There are 200 of those to collect, some are just laying there waiting for you to pick them up, the majority has some easy puzzles.

I hate how they deny me things in front of my face, because I don't have certain gadgets..

It's best to leave those for after you finished the main story. they become MUCH easier to gather.
it becomes tiresome though, as I have no idea what's the reward behind collecting them all.
better not be a "checkmark" like in AC4 after collecting the countless animus fragments.

While fighting Deathstroke last night, he fell through the geometry. Good times.

This bug got me tonight in the Mad Hatter sequence, camera refuses to work in the room as soon as the enemies spawn. Had to fight the room blind prob. 10 times before I succeded in getting through the room without dying, thus reverting the camera to "working" again.
Blind fighting and countering without hints on Hard, now I'm ready for anything.
