Finally came across the FPS draining church
I'm using autohotkey for remapping the controls but some of the "tricks" the game uses in its control scheme are still making me want to stab the developers in the eye!

You weren't kidding about Chapter 2. I'm honestly stumped... I simply don't know what to choose. There's no evil here, just grey... one person's point of view versus another, this is real C&C |
Definately sounds interesting. I'll have to try this as soon as I find some spare time.

I don't quite agree tbh. Even without sweetfx it looks very decent.(at least in the catacombs where I am atm)
What I don't like is lack of interactivity, kinda strange combat ( how do I parry on a keyboard?), and pulled out of someone's ass "brilliant" idea that magic recharges only through melee strikes. And because of this idea Im kinda lost - I prefer mage characters and and as it turns out I need to dish out a nice melee damage and to be a skilled warrior in order to get mana..what attributes/ skills Im supposed to take then, huh?
Atm I only upgraded blacksmith/open locks

Everything seems to be thrown in the junk tab, ore and ingredients too. Since I can't save manually, I'm scared to test whether "sell all" actually means " sell junk". Doesn't make much sense really.

All items that automatically go under the Junk tab (with exception of red quest items that cannot be sold anyway) are not used for anything other then selling to a merchant for money. All ingredients actually used in alchemy go into the Potions tab, not Junk tab.

In the inventory, yes, but not in the merchant window. All ingredients/ore/summoning/junk are lumped together in the one sell/buy tab.

Finished it,the last chapter was the shortest...as to be expected.
Enjoyed this game a lot and might someday do a replay of this.
Steam clocked 30 hours, but the ingame clock was around 14 hours.
About the ending
Spoiler: | Well shit,it was me or Calandra...fast talked my ass out of that one.
Too bad there isn't a third choice, but that was to be expected due to the pact with the demon. |
Now on to Enslaved.

(And most choices seem to have both good and bad points.) |
But, it is still worth upgrading it? Like blacksmith, for instance.
Is perception a useful skill?

All skills are useful, blacksmithing helps with traps for example which is very important, perception let's you find small caches of loot with some very nice items, lore let's you find important bits of info and journal (codex) entries, medicine and fast talk work great during dialogue to achieve better outcomes or gain other rewards.
And so on, so far all of them have been useful and there's numerous areas in each location that can benefit from one or several of these skills so spending points on each can be very rewarding though it makes it difficult to truly specialize.
(But there are many accessories like rings and amulets that improve these skills too so you can use that to your advantage.)
EDIT: As a example there's a cellar in the city where you can use perception to spot additional supplies and a locked door can be lockpicked to bypass a area, traps can be disarmed to get through a pathway unharmed and lore can be used to gain additional info about the area and I forgot if it was medicine or what it was called but using that you can pick a few plants in the area for ingredients or material to sell.
(Which you can use haggle to gain better prices from the merchants when doing said trading.)
(And that's just a small location you can explore while passing through.)

Ugh... I'm done for now.
The checkpoint save system, the moronic controls, the performance issues at the camp and the weird way in which most of the inventory areas work are all doing my head in.
Hopefully it will get properly patched and fixed.
