Wow, I kind of regret buying it now. 11 bucks for 1 hour...going to a movie costs less and is longer.

Exactly. Luckily I had 7£ credits on GMG so I only paid 2£ for it otherwise I would never have bought it

Oh~ho! Anyone remember this?

Quote:

Players won't have to master the art of jumping, ducking and tapping a button to "pogo," for instance, instead they can simply jump and press a button. Maps with built-in guidance will be available in the game as well, and a particularly nasty level, which had to be played three times, has been reworked to require only one play through.

"Gamers are just different today," Jimenez said. "We had to make it significantly easier and more accessible."

... and yet certain reviewers are throwing hissy fits about it being too difficult and not "accessible" enough?

I don't recall how it was in DT1, but in DT2 you could hold an action button as well after a jump to do constant "pogo".

There is an ingame option to make the pogo thing work like it did in the original (having to also hold down while pressing the button to pogo)

I think they call it Hard Pogo Razz

I just fired up the original on my NES emulator, hadn't played it in maybe 15+ years.
Took me about 25 minutes start to finish.

DuckTales Remastered-RELOADED Very Happy

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

time to find out what these reviewers are whining over.

Edit: Needs some fixing, thats for sure. It refused to run on my primary monitor and went straight for the TV. Some real annoying fps issues and flickering characters. Other than that the game seems pretty fucking good if you ask me.

Most annoying issue so far is that pogo does not work sometimes even though it should.

EDIT: Actually, it is SUPER annoying. Especially on Hard.

I've just played some levels, it's still fun. Razz This remastered version is very faithful, the game hasn't changed a bit except for the (good) overhauled HD visuals and more cutscenes (however, they're skippable).

No compromises for the derps, the difficulty is nearly the same as the original if played on Normal, which is perfect in my opinion, quite balanced. (Easy is definitely too easy, so for the hardcore fans Hard would be the better choice..or Extreme, but I guess that would be too much). Anyway, a gamepad is very recommended (duh!). The game is obviously on the short side just like the original; I haven't finished it yet but the sites that mention a lenght of ~2 hours are probably right.

Had a little playsession with this just now.

the opening menu and music almost brought a tear to my eye lol

but its kinda downhill from there. the game plays pretty decent sans some wierd pogo response issues at times. finished amazon and had a blast.

but.. game would only use my 2nd screen for some reason, (even though the other was the tv) and after about 15 mins of playing the screen kept going on standby. never had that issue before so 100% sure its the game.

The voice acting is great but the fact that theres not even an attempt at lipsync/talking animations and they just keep repeating the same animations over and over for conversations kinda detracts from it.

Ill still enjoy the game though a ton though, alot more if they patch out the technical issues.

If you play the original, if you pogo on the edge of a platform or spike, it will stop the pogo-ing. And they kept it for his version, too.

Yeah, I'm not sure we needed it to be the same game right down to the original bugs but whatever.

It's a feature not a bug Wink

I can easily pogo on the spike or edges, never had such issues. I was talking about actual pogo cancel bug, when you fall down or jump on someone and do pogo - it does not work. It just makes no sense. If you try to repeat the same movements again, 1:1 it works. What the fuck. Why.
