I hope not. I'd rather have the choice of multiple ships.

The Aquila was constructed in Brest, France, in the year 1749 so probably not

Good. The Aquila was a nice ship, but I want to choose my ship in any pirate game

Yep. I'f they somehow combine Sid Meier's Pirates and Assassin's Creed combat that would be awesome.

If we're allowed to freely trade, explore, plunder and collect map parts which when whole, has a riddle on it that leads to burried treasure that would be a dream come true xD

Whoa, that's a lot of new features.
They can't implement all this stuff in AC IV, since AC: Buccaneer Brotherhood and AC: Freebooter Revelations will be left without anything! Cool Face

Awesomely boring? Laughing

I would want a better (much MUCH better) combat system, but if you want to aim that low... Cool Face

Boring for you Tonizita. I had fun. Yes, it's not very challenging, but I had loads of fun stalking the admittedly retarded AI.

Stalking? Confused

I'm talking about of the classic "surround him! ok guise, now one at a time! lol wut" Laughing

Gimme some Witcher 2 combat.
Sure, all the rolling might seem silly but at least you need to keep on your toes at all times, lest you get fucked.

Yeah, that is a bit silly, but I can't see Ubisoft changing the combat mechanic any time soon, so I'd rather they focused on the setting and treasure chests Very Happy

This game is sounding increasingly better by the minute.

Also,

As usual the preview sound really nice, will be interesting to see more of the game. Smile

Well, a least in the case of AC3 when previewed it sounded like more of the same, just in a different setting and with more natural scenery. But I was perfectly fine with that "more of the same" (which it ended being generally speaking) as a fan of the series.

This time around I read about very interesting substantial changes Smile

Sounds damn nice, cant get enough of AC games.
So we're gonna play ourself as an Abstergo reasearcher in the present time line?
They still need the correct descendant so maybe they found Desmonds dead body and keep it in some liquid now? Or is he gone for good? Maybe they use his dad instead.

Don't expect Kenway to be able to tree-run like Connor. Ubisoft has other mechanics planned for the jungle.

Hm, that's interesting, I suppose he'll be swinging on lianas and whatnot.

The game's "second main character" is the Jackdaw, Kenway's ship, which will grow as players progress thrughout the game. 60 metres long with 26 sails, she vastly outguns AC3's Aquila. Players will start with six cannons but can add another fifty, and employ additional upgrades such as swivel guns and explosive mines. Using the spyglass, you'll be able to quickly analyse other ships nearby, note their bounty on board (measured in rum, gold, clothes and special items) and judge a plan of attack. Ship characteristics and classes now vary beyond simple sizes. Some vessels will charge you down and attempt to ram you, while others will hold back and blast you from afar.

I think I know how it might pan out... Remember how in Revelations Ezio found the discs to unlock Altair's memories? Perhaps Connor will find some equivalent of those discs and see the memories of his grandfather.

EDIT: Holy shit, they were actually showcasing the PC version Shocked Ubisoft always showed PS3 version of AC games everywhere.

Oh wow, FINALLY

There will be fucking FREE AIM

Can't watch the video at the moment, but if that's true, I say finally indeed!

Took them long enough to realize that people want complete freedom, without such silly constraints. The lock-on-target mechanic is getting stale and obsolete even for gamepads, let alone when one plays using mouse and keyboard. This game is going into the right direction

Exploration beneath the waves is now possible too. Lowered down using an authentic period diving bell, Kenway can explore submerged wrecks that lie on the ocean bed bursting with treasure. You'll also have to contend with the local wildlife and, in one rather Far Cry-esque instance we were shown, be able to stab a shark in the face with your cutlass.

So IT IS in the game! As I said before: Fuck yes!!!

It's incredible how Ubi is slowly getting on the right track Cool Face

Now if they released some proper Splinter Cell/Ghost Recon/Rainbow Six sequels I could start buying their games again
