Utterly agree. I get the feeling that some story developer was shoved aside and told 'No story. Too much time. Need sales. Use Generic Story #11 and sell sell sell!

Nope. Just skip him by opening the console (~) and typing "map endgame".

We've seen volumetric flame effects from games such as the older Quake 3 engine title Return to Castle Wolfenstein so maybe eventually we'll see more than 2d sprites for smoke, fire and so on. Razz

I agree though that it still looks fantastic, though a proper explosion in full 3D would be even better. Very Happy
(Though so far outside of PhysX APEX particles it's not very feasible due to the performance cost, at least we're starting to move away from flat painted sky boxes, it's something.)

Binary domain was an ok game at least the shooting part was way more satisfying than in Crysis 3, armor of the robots break and fall down as you shoot them, can't say that about Crysis, shooting peeps in big bulky armor and nothing happens it is so static its crap !!

That + interesing story, character interactions and big boooo!!!!
Play this game ppl Very Happy

Finished long ago. Must admit it I really enjoyed it. Gameplaywise more than Crysis3. Animations were also top notch.

Pretty sure DR means the lens flares, which BF3 wasn't the first to use nor is it the one that uses it the most.

In the case of Crysis it makes at least a little sense because the player looks through the suit's visor.

In BF, not at all. Razz

The first Crysis was not that open. After the tank level (which was mission 5 out of 11), it was mostly a linear game.

It makes no sense in screenshots like that, regardless of the game. I for one find them just as bad while playing a game. They're just really obnoxious and they can put me off a game completely if they're overdone or just used in a really bad way.

I don't know. It's the first one that managed to annoy me with such stupid effects.

Currently in mission 4 i think. Where one starts to fight against these alien drones.

So far it's an OK game.
Yes graphics are really good. But the gameplay is pretty generic Sad
Liked Crysis 2 more. Because as someone else mentioned before, i really felt like a badass mobile tank there.

However in Warhead, I remember a level where you have to infiltrate a submarine. There are roads that lead to the base where you can wreak havoc, but you could also just take a long swim and get to the docks - it was a huge open map.

It's good there is a second fix, but it's funny the P2P is labeling it under RLD's name. Laughing
