Regardless how you state your opinion, if someone loves it, they might take offense to anything negative you say. I say it's a natural thing, I might get annoyed, but i keep it to myself unless i have a valid point which can negate their "faulty" opinion. This obviously not so with everybody.

I agree. It's very natural - and I admit that I do sometimes get emotional when I respond, but it's very, very rare.
I tend to set aside emotions when I have a debate, so I come off as a cold arrogant prick - but that's the price you pay, I suppose.
But I don't take it personally when people hate me "online" - because it's not me, but their image of me.
I just can't seem to hate anyone back... We're all strangers to each other anyway

I fear there's an element of sarcasm in nearly everything I say. I tend to consider human beings incredibly flawed - and as such, I have no qualms criticising things made by people or receiving criticism.
Obviously, that will rub many people the wrong way - especially if they really like what's being criticised.
But since we're all so flawed - everything we create will naturally be flawed as well. Pointing that out might even be redundant - but we have to talk about something I guess.
I don't know what it is with people that makes them want to pretend some game or some movie is perfect - or that they're beyond criticism - but it does seem to upset a lot of people when flaws are pointed out or debated.

I know a reason, sort of. Frequenting this place have spoiled quite a few games for me. So I try to avoid entering threads of yet-to-be-released games, or those that I have yet to play. Not because I'm afraid of story spoilers, but because every bad aspect of a game is pointed out in those threads. I found, that I tend to be blind and/or more tolerant toward game's flaws when I don't read about them prior playing. It's fine to read people opinion and bitching after I've finished the game though, it doesn't affect my experience anymore, it can merely change my opinion of the game if I agree with that criticism.

Yeah, I can understand that. I do the same thing myself. But it's wiser to simply stay away - than to go into denial mode about flaws.
Obviously, lots of flaws are about our subjective approach to a game - and they might even be good things to other people. But it's hard to enjoy a game if people are constantly bashing it in your presence. So, for a new game you're excited by - I definitely recommend simply staying away from the topic until you're done with it.
But to be upset because people don't enjoy it is just silly, really.

Breezer_ wrote: | You can now play it for free Gonna try it today, looks so generic korean grindfest tho |
It has a ton of generic typical stuff to it but it plays really nicely, and for a grindfest at lvl 40+ on some classes like the mystic, the game still keeps me playing. You cant even craft at early levels due to the need of so much money to even get the basic quest guides for crafting completed lol.
But once you hit the arcadia area after your first stop at the first city then you start to see money from drops etc and sales coming in at last. Thank fook......

I have that UI bug that makes my game run at 20 FPS with UI on, but if I disable it, it goes 60+ FPS.

its a good game, combat is rock solid, pvp is pretty fun, graphics are unthreatened by any other mmo (and many sp games) the art design is awesome, alot of ingenuity, grind isnt there if you ask me, been playing on and off since beta
imho this is gonna be THE best f2p game, i just cant see anything competing

I may have to see if I can get a couple of friends to give this a try. F2P always makes it a little easier to give these games a go since you don't have any real investment into it. I really hate monthly fees for games so I am glad to see most of those games getting converted to F2P now.

I just can not get used to the whole keybinding that is required here.
Wish I wasn't a die-hard mouseclicker, so used to that.
Cause this games seems to be pretty awesome for a F2P.

If you get a frame bug, goto video/other/ and turn on low light dimming checkbox, apply then back off again.
if you really have low fps due to pc issues anyhow you can leave that dimming on for boost.
find a few peeps do that anyhow to squeeze all the fps they can muster for pvp :O nothing new there though huh.

Runs like 60fps+ all the time maxed out. Too bad the game is pure shit like i feared. So generic looking korean design and shit. Monster design is OK, but i cant stand the overall style :/ Combat is nice aswell, but meh, the game needs to suck you in immediately (this didnt do it for me).

I must be really stupid but how do I get a F2P code ? I'm stuck at "You do not have any active TERA accounts." in the launcher.

And why is that?
Like a company would never do such a thing?
So explain then why SLI does work and the dev refuses to change something in the code to get Crossfire to work?
What other possible reason would a dev have to make customers so pissed to actually say out loud that they refuse to do anything for AMD users?
