I thought the demo was so-so, compared to games of the same genre like God of War 3... And it doesn't bring anything new to the genre.
Also the demo level was so small, too many corridors... I know it shouldn't be another GTA, but even Tomb Raider Anniversary, which is a PS2 game, has much bigger environments.
Considering it's been developed by Ninja Theory, I'm expecting much more from them than this.
Maybe the game is for 360/PC players rather than PS3 players who can already play every GoW game ?
I'm hope I'm wrong about the game, I'll leech the final version to get my own idea about it anyway !
its not about how dante looks, its about ninja theory´s disability to have a game run at a proper framerate without input delay, for dmc games 60 fps and no input lag are a necessity.
just look at their past game enslaved, while atmosphere and story-wise it was pretty good, gameplay-wise it was horrible.
Heavenly Sword is even more terrible, the game barely runs at 30 fps and isn't that amazing looking nowadays. I guess time has changed, even console wise...
heavenly sword runs at around 25 fps and has an input delay of 500 ms or so, feels like playing an online game against brazilians, its a fucking joke...

if this was the case why hasnt any of the early reviews said anything about input lag? dont u think that would be a huge thing in decideing thre review scrore?
25 fps doesnt automatically mean lag, even for a fast game, and they have technical tricks to make it feel as smooth as possible. and if u need 60 fps, the pc version has been confirmed to run at that, so problem solved
i think just because every dmc has been 60 fps, you cant imagine it without it, i think if you give it a try after a hour or 2 you wont even realize the fps being different, since its not like were playing a direct sequel, its a whole new reboot.
Keep cool, GoW Ascension is coming in only 3 months now

A trailer using CGI.
(It starts kinda like Prototype and then gets into a bit more action and style with Dante also losing his hair or something and turning on some kinda demon rage mode, ha.)
EDIT: Haven't watched other media much, his voice seems really high pitched though.

nah, 360 players already have bayonetta, which is the true spiritual successor to the dmc series as its made by its creator.
bayonetta is also a true showcase of fast-paced, smooth (60 fps on 360, not on ps3 sadly), ultra-responsive and very fun gameplay, the new dmc wont be able to even play in the same ballpark gameplay-wise, but story-wise its another thing obviously.

it did, and everyone who used it deserves a bullet in the head
anyway no need, on rls date we will have a retail disc version that can be updated without problems instead of having to reactivate the psn release to make it update-friendly.
