I've seen plenty of infantry combat in the night-time map.

you cant balance something a 100% just look at WoW... every patch they have to change tons of things they already changed earlier because of all the whining...

AC-130 is a piece of shit, and the easiest way to kill it is just get a chopper full of c4 and drop it on the AC.

Well I must say I am quite impressed with this...time will tell if it only improves or gets ruined, but for now I am quite enjoying AK. It just feels different, expansive maps where you can just drive around at full speed, have huge tank battles and approach objectives from every which way. On Bandar Desert I spent the entire match roaming the desert part without even reaching the flags until the end of the game, and it didn't feel at all like I was standing in one place. I must have explored less than 30% of that map.
Air combat is now really great as well. On Alborz, having dogfights amidst the clouds feel just awesome
(ceiling here is "just" 1000 though )
On Death Valley the ceiling is over 2000 (I got bored trying to find the limit, not sure how much over 2000 it goes ), so you can finally take all the vertical space you need for flight which adds a whole new dimension in dogfights. And there is just no shortage of targets to shoot at.
On the AC-130, as was said - it's extremely easy to take it out with a jet. Every single attack on it all by myself resulted in it getting shot out of the sky in just one run. It's so slow you can fire unguided rockets at it, so it's just fire to the end from the main gun, a barrage of rockets, and it's down after a small burst from the maingun again. I must have shot down at least dozen of those already.
The only downside could be is that the maps feel slightly "emptier" now. Less density in terms of buildings and the likes... more open spaces. But it's still fun to have fights amongst the rocks and other natural cover

Had a blast just driving the quad around capturing points while everyone was too busy fighting each other, only running into very light opposition

On the 64 players servers it's OK. First time I get to play maps that are actually built for 64 players.
Even Caspian Border or the Back to Karkland maps could get a little too crowded.

They should add choppers and planes in Karkland, would be carnage.

It feels like it's 60fps 98% of the time. And looking at those benches, you can see how the average is always above 60. On the 580, it was much more down to 40-50 on ultra with 4x msaa. I also completely dropped the stupid blur effects. You just sense the difference between the 680 and 580 immediately in this game.
