I have the same setup except I have a Q6600 @ 3 GHz and the game runs terribly. Way worse than the first one. Guessing there must be some trouble with drivers or what not Sad

WAHEY! Finally some good luck! Game, so far, runs magnificently! I get 60 almost constantly, with some random dips in the 52-58 range, and the mouse feels okay at the moment (in relation to the mouse<>framerate complaints, I mean) Smile Visuals are much improved over the first game, though there are some dodgy textures and all the cutscenes have huge borders (Mad) and a lot of them are pre-recorded BIKS (Mad) but other than that? Looks pretty good so far. I'll keep playing and hopefully the good start continues Smile

Couple of minor niggles;

*There is definitely some mouse acceleration.
*Physics suck, just like the first game, nothing seems to have any weight.
*Motion blur is extreme.
*Same goes for the green haze that masks the view distance.

Your cpu is ancient, that's bottlenecking it Smile

It's a shit port, end of.
Even ancient CPU's like yours and mine (Q8300@3.33GHz) should be able to handle this POS port without even breaking a sweat and especially at relatively low resolutions like in my case.

The PC version of Just Cause 2 showed how it's done, but apparently actishit won't get a clue (shocking!Surprised).

Also, did people forget that the original was also an incredibly shit port back then?! Scratch Head

How far are you into the game? The RADnet menu isn't even active at the start of the game, it tells you that you have to play further into the story before it becomes available.

Ok, on a gtx 680 it's weird.

Clocks often drop to like 600 instead of the normal 1170, gpu usage in the 30%'s. Overall 50-60 fps mostly.

Clearly it's not using the gpu as it should but yeah, bad optimization.

Xbawks 360 controller tho so no complaints about the controls...

Graphically, one thing i like : real time reflections in the puddles during rain. I'm impressed by that tbh. The rest not so much.

Gameplay wise seems fun so far.

None so far, though I wish subtitles would apply to random chatter too.. not just cutscenes/blackbox audio.

Good to know. The first game performed a bit wobbly on my HD4850 back then, but my brother played the first game a couple of weeks back on the new card and it was 60fps all throughout the game. Fingers crossed for the same performance would apply for this game. It's odd that I waited this long, in-spite of having the 360 version since it's console release. Razz

How would the radnet menu be of any use in a cracked game? It's just a bunch of irrelevant online features.

Good game, almost everything is improved compared to the first one. Runs without any problems on a E8500 + HD5850.

So I just started playing this, and as was mentioned in this thread before (I think), mouse sensitivity seems to be connected with the framerate, resulting in very uneven mouse controls (this reminds me a lot of Assassins Creed 2 and onwards until I upgraded my CPU - absolutely horrible mouse controls).

So is there any fix for this at present, besides using a gamepad? Smile

No problems here so far, playing with the 360 pad though Smile

Only played for a little, but I remember the jump mechanic being a lot more...fluid? Feels so weird in this.

Crappy textures aside, I'm only now realising just how good the Batman games really are. I enjoyed Prototype for what it was, but just the combat system alone is just so much better in Batman. Much more connected. Same goes for the movement, whatever you do in Prototype 2, everything is just another move in a combo; the animations don't flow into each other, the moves don't really connect. Spoiled by Rocksteady I guess Very Happy

I'll play it a bit more, just because I found Prototype 1 amusing, but it feels like the first one; going to get repetitive very quickly again I think.

I am gonna try playing with the gamepad... the mouse is absolutely unusable in the current state.

Meanwhile I have been playing a good samaritan...almost. Bumped into a guy, he said something not very nice, so I punched him to see what happens. He drops down on the ground in pain. Makes me feel kinda bad, but as I stand there thinking what to do, a military jeep just runs over the guys face at full speed in reverse and then crashes into another military vehicle and stops, blocking the other vehicle's path... nothing happens. After waiting a minute a traffic jam formed up, so I just walk up to the jeep, pick it up and put it back down on the ground on the other lane, clearing the path. The military convoy then proceeds to drive on like nothing ever happened.
A "thank you" would be nice Sad

I'm not sure what key it is, but when you hit your grab key, it has a menu popup at the top of their heads somewhat and it tells you what to press for which action. Whichever button is on the RIGHT hand side of the "chart" is what you want to press. That's the consume button.

It won't work if you can be seen so there is no risk in trying it. The other button is for "grab" which will alert peeps.

Well that's the thing...

On the controller you tap B to grab someone, and you press B to have the menu pop up to consume someone.... before you grab em...

YET THEIR DIRECTIONS CLEARLY SAY TAP B THEN PRESS Y TO STEALTH CONSUME .... MY FUCKING ASS...
