Did you play the beta like the rest of us? It was horrible and the reviews all say the same thing, which means the final version didn't fix that.

No trolling in my post whatsoever, though I do find it hilariously typical that reviewers are derps and shouldn't be listened to.... if they're saying bad things about a game you like, but if they were praising it; you'd be linking to their articles. I don't really care what you think is a better form of entertainment, I'm simply stating that the beta of Risen 2 was a mess and - so far - all the reviews/previews of the final product have the same complaints, which means PB didn't fix the issues from the beta. Not to mention the fact that R2 has seemingly been radically streamlined from R1 -- oh and that Derp Silver are already splintering, and annoying, the fanbase with their DLC bullshit.
Either live with it, or don't, I don't care  I'm not trying to tell you what to do, simply saying that blind loyalty to PB is every bit as "biased" as you claim the reviewers are against PB.
....... one more thing; I own all the Gothic games, with the exception of the horrifying Arcania, so I'm not completely sure what your point is.

haven't played the beta, and tried to avoid information about this game as much as i could, and all that came through this wall of obliviousness was negative drops of information.
so i caved a bit, watched a few gameplay vids and read a couple of reviews, and the picture is not a pretty one...
nevertheless!! despite all negative reviews and opinions out there i remain completely optimistic that this would be as much a gem as the first risen game, and would deliver the unpolished quality expected from PB (not a fanboy, so dont even try...  )
call it blind faith if you will, and your probably right, but i prefer to try this game when it comes out with the minimum of prejudice as possible, thus making it more probable to be enjoyed thoroughly

Played the Beta, wish I hadn't... all interest and hope died with it. I had hopes after Risen but I can't cope with the gameplay changes they did with Risen2.

Combat in risen 1 was pretty good.When you timed your hits it was easy to beat the enemies, when you just spammed click it was harder.
So there where click spamming for console derps, and timing for us Pc gamers, everyone was happy.
Why is the change?

I am just not going to care about the reviews and play the game. I remember everyone bashing G3 like hell (well it wasnt as good as G2, for sure) but I enjoyed it nonetheless, I am sure I will enjoy R2 aswell. I have a feeling it will still be better than Arghcania, of which I only played the demo.
