Well, today I had something healthier than usual ^^. (I only had coffee for breakfast, because I had no time to make something to eat and had to leave early - overslept Sad )

I've heated up some pasta with tomato sauce from last night for lunch.

For dinner I had rice, turkey breast and mashed potato. (very small portions of course)

that's it.

...I think now I'm doing it right, right? Laughing

(well, except for breakfast xD)

Laughing there is nothing i can do to get bigger unless i totally dedicate myself to lifting weight...aside from the dr telling me im 1% body fat shy of a trip to the hospital i feel great most of the time (i do have something wrong with my guts but its not a cause/result of my low body fat). also, say no to big macs. i dont care how hungry i am. You should like gain at least 15 to 20 kg man... 188 cm and 60 kg is really skinny...

But don't just throw food in your gob, it'll do you more harm than good...

im in my 30s and have dealt with this my whole life. im just one of those people i guess. im built like a marathon runner and there is virtually noting i can do about it unless i dedicate myself to lifting weight. im healthy and fairly athletic so i dont see it as a problem....anyway, didnt mean to derail the weight loss thread by talking about how fuckin skinny i am Razz sorry PumpAction Razz

Wanna lose weight fast? Go on a ketogenic diet, I tried it before and it really works and there are hardly any health repercussions at all, other than that the first week on the diet can be quite dreadful, since your calorie intake is severly limited ( I think you need to be under 600 calories to be in a keto diet, and that is 600 calories daily. Stuff makes you lose at least 2-3 kilos a week, if you train hard enough ( although not too hard, unless you want to burn muscles ) you can probably lose 5 kilos, make well sure that you drink at least 3 liters of water a day though.

Ketogenic diets can work wonders for some people, there's a lot of them about, I did a modified Atkins where you can eat as much as you like so long as the carbs are kept low
From what I remember you need to take less than 20g of carbs for 3-5 days to get into ketosis, amounts differ from person to person though and it's surprising what you can get away with once you're there

I was 108kg (at least), 184cm with broad shoulders but not much muscle so I was quite big, after 7 months I'd lost 42kg and that was with hardly any exercise
Bearing in mind I'd take regular weekends and the occasional week/fortnight off, that's pretty good, I did rise up by 6kg after stopping but stayed there

I did it again last year and lost 15kg in about 6 weeks, but I did develop a perianal abscess (don't look at google images for that Shocked , mine was nowhere near as bad) and end up in hospital, cleaning too vigorously the doc said Crying or Very sad

well... here are my 2cents...

I've gone from ~116kg in April of last year to ~80kg in December by...
working out every other day for about an hour on my crosstrainer (+15 minutes warmup / cooldown each);
eating a good breakfast (~6:30), something small for lunch (~12:30) and normal dinner (~18:30);
no fast food or sweets;
and drinking at least 3l water per day - I'm not drinking anything else anyway.

maybe this helps you... Smile

I only eat a fruit at work, then work out (that part is probably not healthy)
But you do burn more fat on a empty stomach, right? Very Happy

I do a 45min powerwalk everyday + running up and down the stairs 5 times. I feel I could do a lot more in a day, but iv got to play games too damnit Very Happy

I've been trying to lose weight for awhile now and was doing pretty good until I hit a plateau. I started at 375lbs and am currently at 290 and have been fluctuating between 280 and 290 for a couple months now. I have a very physical job so I get a good workout most days just can't get the weight to fall off anymore. Oh and I have not been on any real diet just eating better and exercise has got me to this point.

Ideas?

try to find the book '4 hour body' that i recommended earlier in this thread. its full of good tips, tricks and habits to get into. i didnt use the section on losing weight as i would die if i lost any more, but all his info on gaining it was miles ahead of anything else i have tried. i cant imagine his weight loss info being any less effective. its easy to find a 'free preview' copy via google to have a look at, and definitely worth it imo.

It feels so good to see progress Smile

You should atleast eat once every 3rd hour to steady your blood sugar, that also keeps your body burning calories, which also is why you should eat a peace of fruit before going to bed Smile

the funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

That is something that has helped me alot, not eating fast food and making all that I do eat.
