I have Audigy 2 zs
Its hard to find support for this card but its still works after 7 years of use.
I don t like the inbuilt sound cards because i noticed that games run better with creative cards, the difference was 10 fps.
Does anyone have a new sound blaster reacon 3d pcie and is there any real improvement over Audigy 2 zs?

There's Auzentech (they use Creative chips if I remember correctly), Asus etc. if you're looking for high quality discrete soundcards. I know nothing about their new post-XFi generation though.

The advantage of audigy 2 and older is that they work with the excellent kx drivers, much better then the pos drivers creative make.

Would Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD be better than asus xonar ST?

I read that somewhere too so would it be smart to change this card for a newer one if it still works ok?

Eh what you mean?
The zs is still a good card, and you can do a lot of stuff with the kx drivers, they are meant for audiophiles so theyre good

I'd just stick with the Audigy 2. Doesn't seem much replacing something that isn't broken. One of the better cards creative has ever made, and with the KX driver support it will be hard to beat.
As for a 10 FPS difference I find that hard to beleive. You'd have to have a fairly old motherboard and CPU to see that level of difference, and you'd have to be running 2000/XP.

Screw sound cards all together. If you're THAT into sound that you want to drop money into sound. Stray away from the mediocre crap.
Pick up a denon or yamaha receiver and go that route. HDMI 1.4 preferably since it's pure uncompressed sound.
Otherwise, if you must get a sound card, look into HT Omega, they use the C-Media chips which are superior to all that creative garbage

I put the Striker in my brothers computer because he's into music..big time and oh me oh my did it sound good.
Almost all receivers can be used with computers as long as they have analog input. From there pick up some Polk Audio R150's and you'll have some of the best sound you never thought you'd have.

Nop, depends totally on the situation. EVERYTHING can be a bottleneck, depends how your setup is. But it still can be alot of diffrent things, not just GPU.
