					| Yeah, I'd much prefer a JTAG or Rebooter RGH... but you know what? I honestly won't mind buying a new drive if it's absolutely essential.

					| i'm running into problems flashing my xbox drive and i hope someone here can help me out.
i have a samsung ms28 drive and flashed it end 2009, early 2010 to ixtreme 1.6 i guess, so acording to the jungleflasher tutorial the drive should be flashable with the tray half open.
my bios and windows detects the drive but once i fire up jungleflasher the drive disappears from the device manager and it won't be displayed under any adress in the mtk flash32 tab.

what am i'm doing wrong ?

did you install the portio drivers that came with jungleflasher? its not included in some jungelaflasher versions a big fail if you ask me this confuses a lot of people.

yes the driver is included the newest version won't start if it can't load the dll and yes i tried all the different ports some moments ago i was able to see the drive on the port i suspected and tried to send the intro command which didn't work, i guess i'll try my luck with the dosflash app

					| Quick question that I am sure is asked/answered in the depths of this thread.
It looks like we will not be getting LT+ 2.0 for Hitachi drives, so if I can get hold of a supported drive can I swap this for my Hitachi? I assume I just load my Hitachi key in JF and spoof it to the new drive?

I can't remember 100% but don't you need a slax boot cd to switch the drive into vendor mode? Then when the tray is half open, JF will detect it. I can't remember the exact details as I've not flashed anything other than a liteon for years but I've got a sammy somewhere and definitely a copy of slax.

As far as I know you can do that without problems, you just have to sign the firmware with the key from the old one and you're good to go.

So i don't have the key/files from my lite-on drive. Turns out the new update (i leave my 360 disconnected from the internet) reflashes the drive to a new (stock) FW version. I was like what the hell, let's just try

Since i'm a cheap bastard i couldn't be assed to buy all those expensive tools like probes and connectivity shit. I followed a DIY guide from a russian, in crappy english. Cut some wire here, add on/off switch there

After 3 hours i managed to go from "phatkey failed" (apparently you have to switch the drive on and off really fast in a certain step) to a successful extraction in JF. When erasing and rewriting the drive my pc froze halfway.... dang. Googled some info and turns out there is something like dosflash.

Another 3 hours which includes googling and swearing
, i managed to flash it to LT 2.0, tested and works |

 well done!
