The localization crash fixes for one but also for this.
Second - as Jean-Eric posted in one of the threads on the game, we've identified and fixed a last-minute bug that was causing our textures to appear blurred out. This should dramatically improve the visual quality of the released game
EDIT: Also, with the key out the pre-order DLC as part of Reloaded's disc image can now be decrypted though I don't know if it'll work just like that.
Btw, Obsidian's reasoning for why you can't zoom out further or tilt the camera more:
Quote:
The engine can definitely draw skies if we included skyboxes in the areas, when you get to the causeways you'll see what I'm taking about, but we usually don't include skyboxes in areas that don't need it. Tilting the camera further would have an impact on performance, gameplay and art since the whole game was designed around the current camera angle. We have a debug camera here that allows us to tilt it further and it doesn't look or feel right, so I wouldn't recommend it.
One new .oaf file archive (data_2) and a updated exe with the NCF files and some other things also got updated but likely remain unchanged though patched as part of the binary update.
Might help get the files spread a bit and maybe it works via emulator or someone will de-ceg them or what to call it and release a fixed executable of this so you guys can utilize this patch.
Unpacked that new .oaf file, there's a lot of stuff in there that seems unrelated to the listed fixes.
Can't use any of those file formats and similar so I have no idea what's been done but it's strange how they don't list the full release notes.
(They didn't do it for Fallout New Vegas either citing the changelog would be too massive but I doubt DS3 would be that broken, hah.)
EDIT: Most of the GUI was updated (Or perhaps it's graphics?) including one usable .dds showing both the X360 and PS3 controller icons this time, several "cells" or rather level related data for nearly every chapter were also changed and around thirty of those "global" .xml based scripts.
EDIT: That said the folder layout is funny.
From \Gamefolder\Global (As a example) it's \Gamefolder\Projects\Branches\DS3\PC_RC1\DS3\builds\build\win32\patchdata\global for the patch files.
Could be if they ripped it directly and did so today, it would have to be in there then.
(If it includes that data_2 file it's definitively included.)
Also Actiontrip did a fairly decent review of the game - http://www.actiontrip.com/reviews/dungeon-siege-3.phtml listing some complaints and more positive points though I guess it depends on how you look at Dungeon Siege 3.
(It might share the name and setting but not the gameplay and mechanics after all.)
(Also they missed that you can heal by visiting save points, though later on those are scarce and the fights are brutal and unfair so it's still a bit screwed - damn Cyclops - but I enjoyed the challenge.)
(still would have been worth downloading for me as I don't much care for Razor and Reloaded's steam installers. Groups like prophet and skidrow use installers that make the game show up with uinstall tool. Much easier to uninstall and make sure all trace files and registry entries are deleted that way, vs a simple shift+delete.)

i got a virus alert on the mega download file. it quarantined it once it hit 100% on the download.

That's a false positive, has to be after all, files were re-verified via Steam and immediately uploaded with nothing else changed.
But do post what the virus log said, if it's "generic" something it'll likely be due to how that steam_api.dll file interacts and hooks towards DS3.exe for the Steam functionality not quite unlike a trainer program or a variety of trojans.
(Heuristic scanning and overly zealous AV solution, not that it's bad or anything, that sort of protection is critical but Heuristics will try to estimate and guess and will lead to many false positives but it's also useful for newer and more unknown virus and trojan packages.)
I just checked Steam for if it had done anything for tonight (Or well yesterday night.) and another 129 MB updated, not all of these are patched files though as I tend to delete DX and VC++ redistributables which are promptly re-downloaded during updates.
EDIT: Just the exe it seems, maybe it just got re-ceg'ed.
(I'll try to find other info.)
As far as I know DS3 is not CEG protected. there is a tool out that removes CEG protection and it just output the same exe of DS3 without alteration.
Also why is the prophet multi8 only 3.71 GB whereas the RELOADED multi3 is 4.25 GB.
What's missing from the prophet release?
The CEG removal utilities have not been updated and do not function on newer versions of it unfortunately, this being a Steamworks game it's more or less guaranteed to utilize CEG (First run customizes the exe file, easily seen as a little temporary file is created and then removed with the exe icon "blinking" once as it changes/updates.)
