F5/F8 is quick save/quick load, it's not listed in the controls so I thought I'd mention it.
Also F10 seems to do a FOV adjustment but it pauses the game at the same time, so not sure what that is, probably just some debug stuff.

Admittedly, being a DE fanboy, I may be more than a little biased... but I also believe my love of DE would have been reason to slam the shit out of anything that failed to live up to those lofty standards. Instead I find that I'm thoroughly enjoying it, with a fabulous game world that actually feels alive. I'm more than a little impressed, so I'll just re-quote myself again;

I honestly believe, barring any massive failures still to come, it's going to take a seriously negative person to slam this game. Combat feels brilliant (you really CAN'T take more than 2-3 hits on Deus Ex difficulty, and the enemy flank you really well) and the dialogues/story are great. Some visual complaints, but nothing major and it does still look nice. Ambience is, so far, Deus Ex. |

so how big are the maps?? like DE1 or tiny shit like in DE2?

I fucking love it. The music, atmosphere, feels like a proper Deus Ex (in the new era). And this is only a shitty beta, I am very pleased. And trying not to play past the fucking tutorial and ruin everything for myself.

Does anyone know how to fix the brightness in the game? It seems way too dark and if I turn the luminosity up from default I see texture bands.

Are you talking about in the beginning?
It's part of the game.. you need to go to the tech lab to get it fixed.
After that, the flashing stops.
I'm very impressed with this game.. I've seen a few oddities that I have full confidence will be fixed by release (weird ragdoll stuff, etc.)

Yes now they fixed it. I think Mass Effect will have serious competition from Deus Ex 3

Make a shortcut to the .exe and add -setup to it. |
Thanks! That's exactly what I wanted.
The control scheme is pissing me off a bit, and the graphics are pretty boring and need a lot more love but eh not a dealbreaker.

After playing for the past few hours, I can fully confirm that I am indeed the most happier person in the world.
