That's another awesome feature of the AMD drivers, you have to install a specific driver for each game you plan to play.

I am loving this game. It's great now, and soon to be amazing when mods start pouring in.
The first thing I want to see is that tard redneck removed. My gods, what the fuck were they thinking? Why didn't they put the commentator from the previous game? He was awesome, not this Vaughn Gittin Jr. Why they always have to put some American to derp over games? Like they some kind of masters and authority of motor racing...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaughn_Gittin
"Vaughn Donald Gittin, Jr. (born September 20, 1980), commonly known as JR, is an American self-taught professional drifter from Annapolis, Maryland who currently competes in the Formula D ( ) series in his 2010 Falken Tire Ford Racing Mustang."
Can you guess what the D in Formula D stands for?

Right so I very quickly gave this a try, I can't be bothered to do too much since the legit version should unlock in less than 48 hours.
That input lag you guys seem to be so worried about? Well wooptifuckingdo, good job not looking at the goddamn input settings. Before I even gave the intro race a try, I looked at that and instantly reduced the "Speed sensitivity" setting - a bit too much as it turned out, as it was too responsive for my liking. Regardless, I still beat the #1 time of 0:56 in the intro race on my first lap (too lazy to upload the screenshot at the moment) - if the handling was bad, I doubt I would've made that so easily as I've been playing a lot of LFS again lately. Anyway to those who played and complained about that: get the hell out of the PC section please, because obviously you're not used to actually looking at the goddamn settings in a game
It's all right there for God's sake, it's not even hidden or anything. You can make it as responsive as you want, you just need to fiddle with the settings, just like I said you'd have to some pages back.
As for graphics: only thing I noticed were heavy jaggies on shadows of fences, no glitches or anything. I formatted today, so my Catalyst AI was still turned on (Cat 11.4, today's update), and I'm running my system at stock at the moment because of a weird issue with one of my SATA ports (i5-760 @ 2.8, 6950 @ 6950 shaders, clocks and voltage). With that, it was doing 55 FPS; should be capping at 60, but my guess is that Catalyst AI is doing some strange shit.
Settings were 1080p, everything maxed out except motion blur, that was completely turned off.
Sound is good, just like before.
I'll upload some screenshots and perhaps a video or two tomorrow.
Downside? Vaugh Gittin Jr. - Almost as bad as Ken Block in Derp 2 :E

@Frant Of course, stating my experience for year and a half with 4870X2 is trolling/fanboy/twat.
Come on man, I always over-exaggerate, that's how I've always posted, but everything is true, including installing special drivers for BFBC2 because that one makes it load for 2 minutes instead of 30 seconds, while that one would cause flickering in Fallout 3 but the other ones cause stutter in Empire Total War. I remember these moments clearly and dearly.

This piece of shit "game" is exactly like Shift 1.. A noticeable lag with the controllers. And I'm on a new system this time. Tried game pad in digital AND analogue mode as well as keyboard. 0.5 second lag still there. Uninstall & delete.

@Frant: maybe it's too late ;P..but did you try to set the Flip Queue Size to 0 or 1 through RadeonPro, it improved the responsiveness for some users (in Shift 1)

Was the delay due to low fps or due to the game itself? If so, you should have looked at the controls settings, there is an advanced page where you can remedy it.

I had excellent fps (60fps minimum), no slowdowns, vsync off, configured controls manually etc..

Well you can give it a try: download RadeonPro http://www.radeonpro.info/en-US/Downloads/ (it's a free app that allows to create/arrange game profiles/tweaks), create a profile for Shift 2 and then modify the Flip Queue Size from the Advanced menu, setting it to 0/1.
I didn't have problems with Shift 1, but it could help if you experience some lag.

queue size is the same as nvidia's "render ahead frames" option, which improves sometimes games responsiveness.
beside the usual delay (less than last time, for me), i noticed a weird lowering/raisin in forcefeedback between a race and another (especially when retrying a race).
If i change FF force value from the menu and retry without restarting the game the resulting force is different than quitting and restarting...
anyway im going on with career to have an extensive idea of the game itself since ive seen only few cars and only poor ones.
one thing i can say is that damn soapy sensation is too strong, even with weaker forward traction cars... a damn stock Cupra doesnt behave that way.

ok guys, I have a solution for laggy input
1. go to ...\SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED\ControllerDefaults\PC
2. open the configuration file in notepad (the default one for xbox 360 controller is called vehicleset_pc_xinput_default.xml)
3. look for DampeningEnabled="1" and change to DampeningEnabled="0"
4. save the changes and re-load the controller profile in the game
5. profit?
