Yeah, the ultra-rip version + latest crackfix works fine for me as well, too bad that the game itself can be summarized into one pic:

FUCK, this game is the biggest annoying hacker infested worthless piece of shit stupid fucking lame game I've ever seen (if I was writing in portuguese I could fill 5 lines with negative adjectives believe me)
Haven't tried the SP yet, but the godamn MP is SHIT!!! really!!! lame as fuck, spray and pray in each close encounter and if you don't play as a sniper in some maps you might as well just keep your fucking chin in the dirt and hope some Rambo wanna be just cross your sights for an easy kill...
Worst 19€ I've ever spent in a game, might as well get a blowjob from a toothless hooker or even a transvesti dressed as catwoman!!! I like catwoman Very Happy

Yeah I know, but suddenly it all makes sense... don't get me wrong I don't need to pay to have a blowjob and I sure don't like toothless women, but this fucking game is so lame that spending money on that it now seems much better than buying this shit...
hmmm, an advertising by street toothless hookers might be in the making here... Very Happy

I would say, if the youtube previews of mp weren't appealing to you then just let it pass.

To be honest for me this game was great fun for the 3hrs it lasted. It was like watching a good movie and that's it. Now if i had actually paid for it then that would be a different story

I bought the game for the mp, I don't doubt that the SP campaign is fun, but I do not spend money on games for the SP campaigns... that's why I check this forum every day Wink

Hehe, same here.
The humpers are usually the toughest critics around since we get all most of our games for free and when we finally do pay for them it's an honest opinion (most of the time) about a game and it's features.

They sure are, if THQ, EA and Activision were smart they'd pay the humpers for some nice critics about their products...

I still haven't played it, but judging from other humpers opinion the SP looks like it's pretty shit.
But I do hope that this game makes a killing, sales wise.

Hopefully that will prevent THQ from derp-erizing Metro 2034... right?

You've probably seen this -

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Just finished the SP part in 4 hours or so (Hard). What a disappointing game: apart from the standard extreme linearity typical of these Cod-clones, the game has terrible map design, uninteresting characters, poor story (is there even a story?) and average shooting

mechanics...There's nothing good in this title, and in my opinion even the mediocre Medal of Honor is actually better than this, go figure. Laughing

While that is certainly true for the story of the game itself, the underlying background story from the, in my opinion, well made intro (Kim Jong-un before the United Nations) to all the bits and pieces you get in the varios newspaper articles is actually quite good and goes far beyond anything that all CoDs ever released combined have done story-wise. I realize that most players just go from one shoot-out to another, hopping over these silly one-way ramps on tehir way, just like many Dragon Age players who most likely never bothered with the codex entries. It's a pity as in Homefront the background of the events in the game is not only interesting but to a point even convincing.

Exactly, the background story is definitely interesting, but it's how the characters are portrayed into this context that is completely "wrong" from many points of view. There's no emotional attachment to any of the protagonists, the events are presented in a generic uninteresting way hence action feels, well.. more plain and dull than in any other recent FPS, Black Ops included (imo, obviously).

Yeah, it feelslike the excellent background story is wasted by the overall shallow game.
