The Paradox forums are not responding right now. Has anyone connected an above ground metro to an underground metro? I thought I'd give it a try since I was putting one out near the airport which means I actually had space to put it above ground, but I can't get the lines to connect. I've triple checked all the track and it's connected, but when I select my existing line and attempt to extend it to the new station, it just won't go. I even tried make a new line and running it just between the two stations and it won't link up.
[edit]
figured it out. Road/metro rail crossings are bugged. I ran the rail across the road, which came up green and placed, but once it was placed, it stopped functioning. I had the rail go underground before hitting the road and then it was fine. I can't even delete the old road/rail crossing. Everything else deleted, that is just red, won't let me remove it.

Apparently it's more or less the same with a couple fixes built in.

I quite enjoyed the demo, so far I've only been playing Open TTD to feed my transport simulation addiction.
Game runs well, it's hard to master, easy to set up, everything feels nice and fluid. Lots of micromanagement involved, which is also nice, especially like the fact that you have to keep up with the economy and manage that aspect as well.

Just 20 euros on steam/gamersgate, that's pretty awesome.
easily worth the money from what I've seen in the beta.

Prolly a dumb question but I cant figure it out in the UI, how do I change levels for the subway track? I've gotta go under a river but I can't figure out how to make a downward slope to get the level -3.

Meh.... this game need a lot of patching it seems.
I dont know if anyone else has the random crashes... really gamebreaker.
On top of that... it seems the amount of passengers is abnormal. I cant keep up with building enough busses or trams or whatsoever. The whole city just jams on the amount transport i put in

no crashes, but the traffic is terrible. Instant gridlock from one end of the city to the other. Beta was not like this.
Trams/buses are useless right off the bat.
Devs claimed coverage would reduce traffic, but I can't see it. I had the city completely covered and it was still constant gridlock.

I'm gonna have to agree with you guys. I figured out the whole underground thing, but it seems sooner or later, no matter what I do an "event horizon of traffic" occurs and the traffic just gets so bad no amount of busses will help. Hundreds of people waiting at each station, all also ignoring the subway stations and helipads RIGHT FUCKING NEXT TO EACH STOP. jesus christ.
Its like a black hole, only with traffic.
In other news, I'm now addicted to openTTD.

And what annoys me the most.... despite i havent paid hehe... is that it seems the devs havent played the game themselves... i mean how the fuck can they not notice this??
Lol... there is to much traffic in the 1920.. complete cities locked up with traffic is just lol. To me it seems that traffic should start way later in the game so we have bigger/faster transport

after a 4th start, the first senario works for me (also traffic). It took me 3 times to realise that this isnt transport tycoon were profit is automatic.
I avoid all main roads or red roads at the traffic map, stick to bus and metro and things are going fine. I think it is working as intended, dev say they will lower traffic for medium en easy difficulty only. Cant speak for the other cities beside berlin though. The game still needs some patching but is very playable at the moment.

It's really not working as intended. Amsterdam is a joke.
Instant traffic jams in 1920 can't be intended. If it is I gave the devs way too much credit
