I take it there's no way to play multiplayer without buying the game?
Oh, and is there really no way to change the camera position?

Nope, you have to buy the game for legit multiplayer. Not sure if there is a LAN or something option or not.
The only "engine" command that affects anything camera related is the FOV. The engine commands are all based on rendering. There may be input switches somewhere too, I don't know....

Isn't it possible to do the same as you did with modern warfare 2? I don't remember the procedure, but i did play it online with pirated copy. Problem is though that i couldn't add friends.

Not sure why you'd think that. This game isn't Steamworks.
How do I use shields? Do they automatically block a certain amount of damage from specific damage types? (My shield has 11 points in the mace symbol. Does that mean it blocks 11 points of blunt damage?)

mace means blunt damage, so damage itd cause hitting with it (1 skill afaik). they have a shield icon i think it is and thebigger the number the wider the coverage, protects againsts arrows too

ffs why are my posts like 99% on the bottom of most pages? Nobody reads a previous page and thus never sees my questions asked

I have only reached the savanna place and i'm kinda wondering how the gear works. When looking at pieces of armor i see well, many weird icons which i have no clue what they mean. I thought the icon above the mace meant swords cause i figured the mace was blunt damage. But when i looked at gear with more stats of what looks like the sword icon it's named novice something which usually means spellcaster. And what does the stars mean? I figure the icon that shows a weapon swinging and says 105% says it does 105% damage and the length of the weapon is how fast you can hit.

The % a weapon shows is the speed of the weapon, I'm pretty sure. Lenght is obviously reach. The stars represent the value of the item. More stars, more value.
This game is easily RPGOTY. Fuck New Vegas.

Anyone found a cloak for Leather armor yet? Only seem to find for robes and 2 for Heavy armor.

just come to install TW2, very nice graphics, very good optimization ( maybe because it's not DirectX 10 nor 11), it's so sad to say that, but recently only few games are well-optimized (Lost Planet 2, MoH, CoD and Gothic 4 are truly shit, IMO).

There's probably a way to change the camera position with a console command. Don't know how though.

Yes it's a huge improvement from the first game in just about every way. They have redeemed themselves.

Sometimes I really feel liek I'm playing a console RPG. That wouldn't be a problem since I can enjoy Fable 2 as much as Dragon Age, but this game seems to be stuck between the two worlds. I don't know how to explain it exactly, but some aspects are so "in your face" consolised. Still a good game though.

Yes this has already been discussed here. The UI is the most obvious offender.

There is no cloak option for lighter armor styles, camera can be somewhat altered via the FOV command but it distorts the image a bit as the camera moves closer or further away than what's possible with the scrollwheel.
Light spoilers possibly.
About 15 hours into it now, you do level a bit too fast as I'm already over level 40 and have access to the best gear in the game, just about done with everything on the savanna aside from the labyrinth quest chain as part of that bonus code "mini-quest", will take a hour or two until I'm done with that, also one of the reason I've leveld so much as the enemies are pretty tough (Not that much anymore though and as such XP gain is slow again.) and give good XP plus what you get from quests and just killing random groups, should take about 15 or so hours more until I finish the game I estimate what with how the other island is much smaller and how little there is afterwards from what I've read.
Will be fun to see how it continues, getting a bit repetitive running around the same areas but it's paid off as I'm quite powerful and have gained a lot of good gear and other items.
(Not much to see or discover though, dungeons are pretty barren aside from some quest specific locations and it's usually always one or two chests at the center with random loot guarded by a stronger group of enemies or enemy type.)
Somewhat simplified in some aspects from Two Worlds 1 as well now that I've gotten a better look at the various mechanics such as how there's no piercing damage and armor doesn't scale gradually from leather, chain, scale, half-plate and full plate but instead light and heavy armor plus cloth with heavy having various restrictions and a agility penalty which is rather redundant since you can't use bows with it anyhow.
Nice later end mage and archer equipment as well though warriors have more diversity, older tiers disappear though so leather wielding thieves will have to switch over to archer based armaments instead though there's no specific penalty for using heavier gear unless you also rely on a bow for ranged damage.
Less armor diversity as well but better structured and tiered than how it was in the first game, also more uniform color schemes and stat differences.
(Nearly everything returns from the first game but some content like actual full plate variety is a bit cut-down and instead together with scale and half-plate.)
Quite a few quests though some are a bit basic, a lot of delivery and item hunting ones but a few more diverse ones and the most obvious solution to some can also be incorrect or lead to other consequences so there is some variety albeit in the end you still complete it successfully even if the outcome might not have been optimal so in that regard it's much more forgiving than how it was in Two Worlds 1 plus how factions now co-exist somewhat.
Nice enemy variety (Not much on the first area though, annoying Varns and groups of undead plus wildlife mostly.) and they no longer scale infinitely to your level but instead cap out so skeleton and weaker stuff like Varns and Groms usually get quite weak though can still drop the occasional mid to high level support item like dagger, traps, gems or similar.
Overall I'm still impressed with what they've done with the game since it was just meant to be a expansion initially, will be interesting to see how they'll add and support to the game such as new content and the future engine update that's been discussed.
EDIT: And the humor and content is a bit more raunchy like in those images I posted before or texts like this little poem about a "missing" golem part and fair maidens.

(Dungeon atmosphere.)

(That labyrinth.)
(Map so far.)

I paused the game, deciding if i should start over and make a mage or something because 1 handed weapon combat sucks imo. Are there really no gameplay videos showing two handed weapon combat ?

Did you discover how space bar works in combat? Acts as an offensive retreat. Also charging hostiles works well.
