Something tells me that I won't be surprised if there will be "auto-land" button.

But some of us like to land the bird. Im pretty sure that there is a tick box for the "I just Wanna go boom-ratatata-boom" guys, just dont worry about us. |
but thats the thing. if you DONT want a pure arcade action game, why are you 'even in the room', so to speak? there are other games that cater to people who want to fiddle with all the nobs and buttons and love failing 8 out of 10 landing attempts because they didnt correct for a sudden cross wind, or their vision was blurred by fog and rain...

That debut trailer looked like something out of the 90's...
Then again,I liked HAWX,mostly cause there aren't any new Ace combat games to play on the 360,so I'll probably enjoy H2 as well...hopefully they'll leave out that idiotic "ULTRA PILOT MODE!" they forced you to use in a few occasions,I want to play the whole game in first person view

That just might be possible.
There were some complaints in the first one about not being able to be in cockpit view for Assistance OFF mode. Was this taken note of for the sequel?
Edward Douglas: So in this game Assistance OFF mode is completely optional. Yeah, in HAWX 1 there were criticisms that some missions force you to use certain views. In HAWX 2’s career campaign and multiplayer it’s always a choice. You choose the mode that best suits your play style.
There are other series of missions outside of the main story — different challenge modes — that offer you different challenges and awards for different modes. So some missions will say ‘try this mission with a special weapon pack and only in OFF mode’, but those are special challenges. You’re not forced to do those for the main story.

H.A.W.X. 2 PC version delayed
Quote: |
Ubisoft have confirmed that the PC version of their upcoming H.A.W.X. 2 game is going to be delayed.
Speaking to Strategy Informer, Game Content Director Bogdan Bridinel confirmed that the delay would be in the range of one to two weeks.
"... I'm afraid this will be the case again. I can't state it as a certainty (again, not exactly my area), but as far as I know the PC version will come slightly later," he said.
"We're not talking a long period, we're talking one week, two weeks, something in that range."
When asked to speculate on the possible reasons for the delay, he merely said:
"The PC has some more complex things going on, with all the different possibilities. So I guess the PC team needed a bit more time." |
Of course they need more time, otherwise the console sales won't grow enough

I hope they will use that extra time and put in some important features, like custom resolutions and mouse support (or joystick support for that matter...)

Much, much more imersive. Hehe this sure will get on the nerves of the "I just wanna boom things" crowd. |
probably some will dislike it, but you will never be able to create the perfect product who will hook all the crowd.

Refueling and taking off are both very welcomed additions for me

It looks like hawx 1.3 to me. Simple amplifications that should have been in the first game don't make this a full-time sequel...

"FEATURING NEW DEEP TACTICAL ELEMENTS, SUCH AS INFLIGHT REFUELING"
in game.. "Press X to refuel"
Console player: OMG THIS GAME IS DEEP
- Oh look we found a convoy
- Oh look the plane snaps so you are aiming at the convoy
- Click somewhear near the convoy and it blows it up
- HUGE EXPLOSISION
- DERRRP
lol @ one of the comments
" Refueling the plane was the funniest thing I've ever seen. "
They must have a fun life

Well it felt like they were getting paid for the preview, so they couldn't realy rage when it took 20 minutes to hit the "refuel hose" with a gamepad.
Also, I feel that refueling is a pointless step towards realism, considering the arcade-derp factor that the game reeks of.

You guys don't really know Giant Bomb do you? The entire site is about sucking publisher cocks and getting paid. Every game is good, every game is "dude that's fun" "dude sweet" "dude omfg" "dude this" "dude that". I still think Gerstmann did as an inside joke on the whole industry.

Not likely...maybe one or two weeks from now. Like UBI said sometime ago.
Been playing it on 360 and I dunno, pretty much the same as the first one. Only difference I can see is landing/take off feature which is kinda pointless in a game that is pretty arcade in every way.
Also some more mission variety compared to the first game...from what I remember anyway.
