Than play on hard instead of easy and you won't have to worry about it hurr
I'm playing on "Realistic"
Also, there is a major bug when playing co-op on Realistic, if an enemy grabs you or your teammate, 80% of the times you become invincible. You can run in a room full of guards, or just stay in there, and they won't kill you
That is funny because I played it on Normal and I never had any auto aim function. Maybe you are just a liar enjoy playing your game on easy, you are probably the guy who downloads trainers for games like ac or mass effect.
Actually winqr and Prefetian are right, if you zoom in with any weapon near a guy it automatically attaches to their head.
See my video(will be available in HD when it processes but it is still watchable):
oh and while I'm at it, I emailed a dev at ubi to ask why the framerate in coop is awful yet if I play the same level in SP hunter etc etc its at 70+ frames. The answer has both astounded and baffled me.
when you play against someone with a slower computer (my buddy in this case) the game will lower the faster computers FPS to keep the players in sync.
WHAT?? are you having a laugh? blatant consolitis since obviously consoles run at the same framerate.

no matter how fast your pc or the person u play with they are locked @ 30 fps in co-op/multiplayer

strange that I have 70 frames and when I play with a certain friend of mine some sections drop into single digits, at one point I had 4 frames a sec according to fraps. Yet no problem in SP mode

Didn't see the video yet, but just to clarify what another guy said, the auto aim is present when the crosshair is white too. It doesn't need to be red, it just need to be near the enemy.
There is auto aim on Normal too when you zoom in.
And no, I don't use trainers for ME or AC (why I'm going to use a trainer for AC?!?! It's even easier than conviction), and I've beaten ME and ME2 on the latest difficulty (Insanity or something like that)

I actually quite enjoy the game. As said by many, its similarities with its processors may be few. But many parts of the game are still possible to play the way SC games are supposed to: with stealth. Sure, you have the option to run and gun CoD style. But wasn't that also the option with previous games? Fine, there are maps where the circumstances (or the story) force you to use a more agressive approach.
But even so, you can choose how you play them. Do you run in guys blazing or do you hide and try to take a more stealthy approach; throw a flashbang, take out a couple of guys and then vanish? Even if you sometimes have to kill enemies, it can still be done with stealth. At least if by stealth you mean not being detected. Yeah, the AI is retarded. They don't detect you even you're standing 2 feet away, but there happens to be a shadow in between you. And they don't find it weird that the same buddies they spoke with every couple of minutes ever since their shift started suddenly don't seem to be around any more. But again, that's pretty much how all games work. And probably have to.
I played the game on Xbox 360 and decided to also buy it on Steam. Yeah yeah, DRM is shit bla bla. I understand people are pissed, but 1) I live in Stockholm, where poor connections are rarely an issue. I've logged 25+ hours and have had 0 problems 2) I still think the developers deserve to get paid for their work (3 hours overtime at work and it's paid for) and 3) I want to be able to enjoy all aspects of the game without any hassels, both alone and with friends.
I also bought the first Splinter Cell and Chaos Theory (about $30 for the pair) as it's been a couple of years since I played them last, just for the memories. The graphics were laughable (by 2010 standards; duh) and any kind of a real story was absent. But, still. Wow! Just the fact you can go through at least Chaos Theory without even firing your weapon. And that EMP thing built into your pistol to temporary knock out lights. Interrogations, and the humor that came with them. There still are a few, but scripted and just there to move the story forward.
I miss a lot of things from the old games, but also like some from this new title. I like the fact that Sam now has more of a persionality. The sonar goggles are quite cool. The cover to cover system. As the rest of you, I've not to crazy about the mark and execute, but as with everything else: It's optional. I've only used to for a couple of PEC challenges. Just 'cause.
And the stealth part really comes to shine in Hunter and Infiltration. Especially the latter. If you're even detected once: Game Over. And I make up challenges for myself, e.g. "No weapons", "Pistols only" (I think that's actually a Deniable Ops one), "50 headshots" etc. That makes them replayable. I spent 8 hours on the story (that's how long it took me on Realistic), but almost 20 in Deniable ops and co-op. Xbox 360 version not included.
Ubisoft may not have made the game exactly what we wanted it to be. But we the players still have the power to play a lot of it as we see fit.
Finally: I also love hearing of people who think the game is "sooooo easy". There may be those who actually think so, and can go through the game without ever being detected or dying, but I'm pretty sure that many of them still consider the game "easy", even if they had to replay the same part 5 times, throwing 3 frag grenades, shooting 15 lights and emptying 3 clips while taking 10 bullets to the head. But hey, as long as they can say they beat the game is under 5 hours and get to bitch about how short and easy it is. So were the previous games, if all you cared about was clearing the levels of every hostile and light source there is.

You mean ONE level that you play in 3E Headquarters?

Throwing a flashbang and killing guys is considered "stealthy" now? I guess I'd like Chaos Theory approach- avoid contact at all cost. This is what Sam from SC 1-4 would do. Use all of his abilities to take revenge on the killers of his daughter, not try to be a suicidal maniac killing all the people he sees.

That's the problem with this game. You don't have a choice. You HAVE to kill enemies. In CT you HAVE to kill 3 or guys in the whole GAME, and that is totally justified by the story. Here? Not too much.

Wow, just wow. The fact that you say this must mean you have played Chaos Theory with sound muted and didn't read any dialogue that appears in the game.

Whaaaaaaaaaaat. You mean shitty one-liners he says everytime he grabs/kills someone? He had a lot more personality in CT, which was represented in the dialogues with Lambert or interrogations. Here he just plays angry Jack Bauer, WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER RRAAAAOWWRRR.

Excellent summary of the game in the last two sentences. Yes, this game is shitty short and easy BECAUSE all you HAVE to do is kill everyone in sight room by room. Nothing else.

Just tried Deniable Ops. From what I can gather it's similar to playing co-op but in single player. Quite fun, but enjoyed the main campaign alot more.
Stop justifying flawed evolution, the lack of depth and wrong "progression" for the lowest common denominator.

LOLOLOL.
I'm not trying to justify anything. I enjoyed the game, that's all there is to it. As far as I'm concerned the game was worth the price I paid for it and I look forward to the next one.
I bought this as well, unfortunetley I'm not very satisfied for what I had to pay for it. I had much more fun playing AC2 than this.
I still haven't tried the co-op part but I almost don't dare to cause playing singleplayer I had an FPS of 30-40 which was meh and playing with that FPS in co-op would probably kill any joy I could have with the game.
coop is so much fun.
its not like you just play the single player again with a friend... its a complete new campagne.
so you need to play both to get the whole experience
