For what is worth, i'm using the skidrow release on a win7 x64 OS without any problem.

Regarding the game, it's definitely a must buy, and i already ordered mine. Games are supposed to be 1st and foremost fun and this one is. Please buy it, if you don't want the 3rd with some atrocious drm or 6 month delay, or even worse, not have it at all.

Is there a fix for the mouse lag? where it takes like a ms before it registers your movement. Thought it might be my settings, but I put everything on low and it is still there, quite annoying.

Runing game from instal dir: no start

Move folder to desktop: instant start

seem to be somthing with admin rights, as I could not edid the steam_appid.txt file in the instal dir but fine then the game folder was on the desktop.

Hell yeah! Payday in Sweden in 3 hours, then it's pre-order time @ Steam. And as a Swede there's 2 reasons to buy the game.

Had exactly the same problem.

I just temporarily disabled Avast and my network connection and everything went well afterwards.

i played for an hour or so. for some reason, the camera reminds me of the mercenaries series. anyway, not bored yet. Very Happy the grappling hook reminds me of bionic commando. the two females so far aren't exactly hotties. but they're much better looking than say females from risen, any of the gothic series, or any of the stalker series. mass effect and dragon age babes are way hotter. Is it just me or this year has been good so far for PC gaming Smile I have a feeling with the age of the x-box 360 that we will be seeing more quality PC games it's that 5 year cycle kicking in Smile Anyway love this game. Bought it on Steam as well. Everything to the tits DX10 with my 2x280gtx's I average 50FPS but that's with 16xQSAA If I dropped it to 4x I get over 60fps. Now I have to try it with my 3d glasses and do some epic sky diving and go ape shit.

The game doesnt work for me - unlike msot people with problems, I can launch the game just fine, run every setting in the main menu, benchmarks work fine, but when I start a new game, the image freezes with the loading screen while I hear the audio of the opening cutscene and eventually the game, run behind the frozen loading screen.

Eventually I have to close the process with the task maanger.

Anyone else have that issue?

For anyone having problems with the Skidrow release not starting in Win7 x64, I also had the exact same issue as everyone else is describing. I did get it working though. I think that the cracked files packaged with the ISO were messed up or something because I was able to download the cracked content separately and copy it all over what I got off the ISO and the game started right up.

So you downloaded the "crack only" wich is the exact same you can find on iso, copied it over the skidrow crack from the iso -> wich is the same as the crack only you downloaded then it worked?

Yes, exactly. That did it for me. Also you do definitely want to make sure you run it as Administrator so that you can save games, otherwise it likely will give you an error when you try to save.

Sounds crazy don't know why it worked but it did. I was also having the same issue as previously described where it would generate those strange files in the game folder after trying to start. But once I copied over the same cracked content it worked.

A 100% clean post of the skidrow crack comes from Doc Snyder&Leroy in a.b.games. 15,96MB

Ed: oh ok i see you mean the whole release. Thats indeed lame. But maybe this helps:
MD5 of steambackup.EXE (rld) is 359ea9f7a411c8dc152b3acdc95df74a
The ISO is 4.298.455.040 bytes

Meh, i got a new PC, but i can not quite run it 100% smooth. in cities it slows down a bit when looking around.

Here is my specs:

Gigabyte X58A motherboard
Intel Core i7-930 4x2.80GHz
ATI HD5870 1GB GDDR5
Kingston 6GB DDR3-1333 TriChannel RAM

Not so much into hardware anymore. Is the GFX card good enough? First time ATI user

The cities seem to be the most demanding ones. I haven't been to any ingame yet, but the city benchmark gave the lowest average fps out of the three. I have the same GPU and it averaged at about 35-38 with everything at the highest at 1080p 4xAA.

runs smooth for me 1920 x 1080 rig as per sig, i did turn off the gpu accelerated water though as i found it ate up a few frames i would rather have.
That's turned off automatically for ATI cats anyway so should both be on same settings except maybe resolution.
Rig as per sig.

So yeh there is something wrong with your performance.

lol thats cool. Is that music ingame? If so, very awesome.

I also just encountered a zeppelin like thing in the sky. Had to check it out. Turned out to be the "High Mile Club" playing loud music with strippers. So much to explorer in this game
