I guess it's nothing more that all that stuff together putted in one torrent package, so yes, it should be safe

I tryed dling a replay, but it won't start. I get an temp error wich says that some files are missing and need to be downloaded. Using lazeylaunch 2 off course. Is this not possible? or am I doing something wrong? I really want to see some replays

Sorry if the question has been posted, but is there any way to disable the messages that appear in the left screen while your playing ?
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Such as? If Im correct and you are using either starcracks or Gooses AI you only get one message at start which will fade after 15 seconds or so. The only response afterwards is the one the AI gives when it loses, namely: "gg". Now I dont see how this bothers you :\. If you get other messages though you might want to check your got the proper stuff and not some shitty other mojo.

normally everyone gets 5minerals from 1 gather of a drone
a cheating AI gets 10 or more per 1 gather
same with gas etc

The messages that appear in the left are about what the player/AI does.
When his going to attack the message appears, when his retreating the messages appear, etc. . But this is not the annoying part. The annoying part is that the messages fill all of my screen.
First time i downloaded this release ''Starcraft 2 Beta Client US Build 13891'' ( updated ), but at the time there wasn't possible to play against the AI.
I use the info from this page to make it work - http://inquistor.info/darkblizz/wiki/doku.php?id=tutorials
Now i have the same release with lazylauncher2 with ''StarCrack AI 5.5 (no ai cheating)'' and i'm using this map: (2) - Shakuras Plateau.s2ma.
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Seriously if you feel your intelligence and game tastes deeply violated, just by me mentioning the words "Blizzard" and "hype", please go cry in some dark corner, you young sensitive miss
About the hype - i was referring to all the reviewers who will give high scores, but yes, why not to say it - the game will be mostly liked because it's made by blizzard. You know it as well, just don't want to acknowledge it, but i'm fine with it If this was not made by Blizz, everyone would be screaming that is just a reskinned new version with few toys (assault marines, tripods, motherships.. lol) Now i suddenly remember bunch of interesting rts-s that simply went silent because they were not accompanied by a big bang from the dev/publisher (universe at wars is way more innovative that SC2 )..

Cause then i know for a fact that it has vastly superior online matchmaking + ladder system then countless other RTS out there. War3 ladder system was awesome, even better in the beginning of War3.
Secondly i also know for a fact, that because it is Blizzard they will keep coming up with patches etc to keep making playing the game online/competitively better and balanced.
Thirdly, Blizzard or no Blizzard, they have huge community, which reasons for ensuring awesomeness i really dont have to describe..
So yeah, i really does matter that its Blizzard who makes this game |
And this, my friends, is why huge amounts of people will buy SC2 without having a second thought. Who needs innovation, who needs originality, just go the safe boring Blizzard way. God forbid we try and learn something new.

True, you are absolutly right! I would love a new RTS that worked great, had great mechanics, run great, had great support from developers, great online matchmaking. I just cant find one, dont know if it is just me ?
Though I have to say, Warcraft 3 + The Frozen Throne was pretty inovative RTS games. Adding and making the whole hero aspect to the game a valuable, and great idea. And Warcraft 3 will probaly always be my nr. 1 RTS. So saying BLizzard is boring altogether might be a little biased just because the way some people view Starcraft 2 so far..
So sure, Starcraft 2 might lack the extra new things to differ it from alot of other RTS out there. But in the end Im gonna play the game that offers me the best experince, both online/competitive wise and best support to ensure quality gaming throughout. And Starcraft/Blizzard just delivers here where other companies just dont cut it. Cause that is whats gonna make me keep playing, not like trying the new innovative thing that doesnt work or stop getting updated after 1-3 patches and just lie down to die.. alone

Yeah, support the innovative and creative game developers instead...Oh wait, there aren't really any, are there? Sure, you've a few indies like IcepickLodge, but the big developers are all just making the same shitty fps/tps/aRPG games over and over again. So when that's the alternative, why not just as well go for the same concept that worked so well in SC1? It's not like any other RTS developer has come up with a more fun gameplay anyway.

innovation? originality? Yea most current games has a lot of those and if they do it's in the "dumbing down" kind of originality but yea sure go and buy those games instead. SC2 isn't supposed to be something new and revolutionary and blizzard has never tried to imply that. Why will SC2 be so damn great? Because blizzard knows how to do good games despite what you think of their games. SC2 will be the new WC3 if not even better, I have personally spent 100s of hours in WC3 and while only a fraction of those has been actually playing the original WC3 game most of the time has been spent playing all the custom maps available.
Here is a tip from me, go out and buy a copy of C&C:4 when it's released, there you will have some major originality ( Shitty originality that is).

You have valid points, it's true, but SC2 is the safe tried old formula. I won't buy c&c4. I play dow I, age 2 and 3 and coh. imho those are the best ones around. And yes, there is originality in 4x strategies or TBS, it's only the RTS genre that is lacking as of late.

Uh, pretty sure you can count the number of 4x games and tbs games that are released each year on a single hand. Don't get me wrong, I love both of those genres, but fact is no one's really making them anymore, and the few that are have really just copy-pasted the old ones( like HoMM/Civ ).
