Either do the skidrow updates, or use JBeckham's archives, older to newer. |
I see. I was just courious since he wrote that the last file he uploaded should contain all previous patches.

It "should" I'm not usre. So I just use them all, just drop them in the folder overwriting shiznit, no care in the world, as long as it's newer, then launch with MiSteam.

The patch I uploaded contains all files with a newer date and also includes the updated icon and sound files from the previous patch so it should be complete, as for Rev. loader it is a bit outdated so not all games will work with it and instead you'll get a error message if you try to use it.
Skidrow cracked the 1.02 update so they will probably crack the 1.03 update as well.

I did the sisinstall way, went through the command prompt. I get a windows error when trying to start the game:
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail"
Anyone got some advice?

Jesus christ this game is hard. Already saw people saying so here before I started, so I'm playing on easy. Still, every year I get rebellions in half a dozen provinces. And now I need to go to war with East-Mercia but they have insane armies. My armies were just thinned out going after Norfolk. Huge cop-out, but anyone know if there's a trainer or something?

Not sure what I am doing wrong. I bring up the console, enter the money one, and it says it completed the command. But no money appears. Same with food. Other ones don't seem to work.

I have read that others have had problems getting the codes to properly trigger, the console autocomples the commands once you begin typing them however so it can't be a spelling mistake, if perhaps "GiveFood 9999" won't work then GiveFood9999 or GiveFood_9999 or even GiveFood Arthur 9999 or GiveFood 9999 Arthur would do?
(Or perhaps it's GiveFood 9999 1 or something like that.)

I think one of the patches fixed the spawning. All battles are extremely easy without the patches though. Just fill your armies with archers and have heroes with arrow shield and damage spells.

I've cleared all the quests I could. Only open one, besides the vision, is the neverending feast. Supposed to defeat the gray baron, but there's nothing or nobody to attack. Anybody up to this point yet?
Oh yeah, army of samhain and crusaders still spawning every few turns.

The gray baron quest should spawn a group of very strong unseele troops (Might differ depending on your alignment choises.) and once killed there shouldn't be anything else to do, in fact you should get the outro video after defeating the last group, worked just fine for me even though I controlled a few major unseele areas including their little tower.
You might have to complete the feast if that's the high seele quest if it's listed as a plot quest. (Purple icon.)

I have a couple of open quests. One is the Scourge, which now says "keep the bla bla armies at bay until you can find a cure for the Scourge".
Then there's the neverending feast. It says "defeat the forces of the grey baron". But apart from random enemies and rebellions, there are no enemies left. Already killed all the unseelie. Is the game bugged or something?

Turns out it was a bug, Grey Baron armies didn't spawn for me. Reloading an old save helped.

it may seem a very stupid question but here it goes.I am at the Book of begining chapter and i don't know haw to buy or replendish units...i can't find anywhere a buy button or something like that even if i am in a settlement.how do you buy freaking units in this game?
