That should give you something to do Sabin, there's also mods that alter the success/fail rate of enhancements, unsure about price scaling but that's moddable too, same with filling the dungeons with champion mobs and hope you survive long enough to find something to fight with. Razz

As long as it doesn't alter the exp *amount* - then I'm game! Very Happy I'm no cheater, which is why I haven't used any of those mass-spam mods that fill dungeons with tons of enemies (thus boosting you to max level and gold by the time you've finished) - but if the caps are raised, then it just gives more to aim for Very Happy

Thanks JB!

Given time and seeing what exists already once the toolkit or what it's name is (TorchED I think.) is released we'll see a lot of addons to the game from new dungeon tileset to equipment and perhaps even classes and skills, might even be possible to fake outdoor environments like forests or fields with some work so it's not all dungeon delving. I just hope it enjoys the same fame that FATE did, which is still going today - years later.

How I patch this game? Do I need to wait for another release with a new crack?

So it seems. Game runs in trial mode after patch. Requires cd key for "activation".

Hmm.

Enchanting prices were alright in the previous version, so if you're increasing the chances of failure, there's no need to boost the price too! It's one thing or the other to keep it balanced, goddamnit. Now enchanting's pretty much worthless.

Making enchanting riskier would make sense if standard loot is tweaked to be more powerful. As I said a few pages ago, enchanting your items is vital to stand up to creatures around your level (after you reach 25). So if those magical upgrades are now unadvisable and base loot still sucks, congratulations! You've just fucked everything up.

Please enlighten me if I'm wrong.

Due to all the releases I've been alternating between Torchlight, Dragon Age, Borderlands, Farewell to Dragons, Ninja Blade, Planet Alcatraz, Dark Salvation, Painkiller Resurrection and SaW for a while now, I don't get much progress done however, should try to complete them one by one. Razz
(And soon CoD 6, should only take a few hours for the SP campaign though.)

Haha, no I don't but it's a bit much with all these game releases so suddenly. Very Happy
(I usually finish what I begin playing so things are a bit hectic perhaps.)

That said I "started" playing SNES, NES, GameBoy, SEGA, PC98 and Mame emulation a while ago as well and that's well over 20.000 titles so the above isn't anything special. Laughing
( Just how many mario clones and zelda clones are there, everything from jokes to super gay bros to racism like super KKK bros to super hard bros - which is f'ing impossible by the way unless you "save/load" regularly. )

EDIT: Not that I actually play every single clone but some of the more imaginative ones can be quite fun.

Which is basically to say there's a ton of strange ports and hacks for those older titles. Razz

(Though some really old games can be pretty weird anyway, Custers Revenge caused quite a stir didn't it? and some Japanese developers did some pretty weird titles back then as well. - http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/4622/000yv.jpg )

"The current enchantment breakage ( well, the one I'm releasing a hotfix for ), is with the town enchanter only (not shrines).
It was SUPPOSED to use the item's level to determine the level of enchants it could use ( as opposed to the player's ), but I screwed it up and it wasn't increasing properly with level. Which means your high level items get wimpy enchants, basically."

same here. the original skidrow release works great but when i tried the 1.12 it doesn't launch and complains about missing 'ogremain.dll' when that file is in the same folder as the .exe. Evil or Very Mad

No problem here on W7 64-bit. I unistalled v.1.0 first, made a backup to savegames folder (just in case) and reinstalled v.1.2 then added "old" savegames.
