Playing this game makes me wonder how Blizzard is going to manage the music of Starcraft 2, not to mention Diablo 3 is going to be without Matt Uelmen, his music was such a defining aspect of their previous successes.
It definitely sets the mood with Torchlight.

How nice, the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable crap it installs leaves all the install files on the HDD's root.

That's a bug on x64 OS's with the VC++ 2008 redist, fixed with the SP1 version of it. Smile
(I'd recommend just ignoring them and getting the latest versions from Microsofts website and install them in order - http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=55478 - along with DirectX and if needed OpenAL, PhysX, .Net, LIVE and others.)

Anyone have problem with enabling Antialiasing ? For me checkmark won't "stuck" Confused

EDIT: Fixed by enabling AA while running at window mode and then switching to fullscreen mode.

Are the classes gender-locked? I noticed you said "Rogue [....] she's awesome" and that fills me with dread. I don't know about you guys, but I seriously dislike being gender locked in RPGs where I'm supposed to be playing the protagonist :-\ If I want to play a female Barbarian, then that's what I want. Conversely, if I want to play a male Rogue, then goddamnit - I want to play a male Rogue!!

Hopefully the new builds fix some of the game breaking bugs. Stuck in geometry ftw. And unable to town portal while quitting the game and reloading just puts you back in the same spot.

Can't find any console commands either. Sigh. A for effort, I guess. F for rushed releases though.

I don't know, only mood it sets for me is "wow this sounds exactly like Diablo". Yeah, it's the same composer but maybe he could have done something else than just "port" the Diablo music over.

Okay, I can confirm that both the fr0gbull and Skidrow releases are the exact same, and are NOT the final builds. Proof, from BuildVer.txt in both releases:

17088_200910250307

However, the BuildVer.txt from the GamersGate release, quoted from the Runic forums:

17098_200910252358

... waiting on final proper. Wink

Maybe, but the music really adds to the experience, it wouldn´t be the same game without it.

I started on Very Hard. I think anything lower would be way too easy, I don`t get it.

It has unlimited dungeon levels after you finish the mainquest as far as I know. Mainquest should be 40ish levels I think.
