KB/M is not a hardware 'limitation'. Consoles can use them just fine...
Are there any peripherals ?
No, he's just trolling again. PS2 had what? TWO games that had keyb/m support? 360 has zero. PS3 has a handful, if that. DC had four, maybe five.
You can use converter adaptors like the XFPS, but it's not native and developers don't code for that - they code for the ultimately limiting joypad instead.
You can just plug any old usb keyboard into a ps3 probably the same thing goes for the 360, they just wont work in most games, the games are developed to work with the control pad and the control pad only, there has been a couple of exeptions like unreal tournament but even in that the mouse control was gimped to make sure people using M+K didn't gain an advantage.
Sabin, just because software doesn't support a peripheral, doesn't mean the hardware doesn't support it. I think this is what he meant.
The 360 doesn't support it at all, and only has support for keyboards for use on messaging. The very fact that software doesn't support it MAKES the damned thing a limitation

It makes it a SOFTWARE limitation, not a HARDWARE one..
No, if there is a USB, there is technically a hardware support. The software doesn't know how to use it. BTW, who cares? Get back on topic, IW SUCKS!!!111

Not on the 360, there is no mouse support whatsoever - on the machine or in the software, which is my very point; it is a limitation. Oh and 360 USB ports function differently to standard ones .. for one, they're locked to read-only.

They use USB connections...
that doesn't mean anything. hell, you can plug anything with a usb plug into anything with a usb port, doesn't mean it will work or is supported or anything
Nope, I'm not - but you most obviously are. This will be the very last time I ever reply to one of your posts, because I seriously feel myself dropping IQ points every second I read one of them.

Learn more, mate, because it's embarrassing. Microsoft LIMITED the use the of keyboards on the 360 and outright BLOCKED the use of mice (aside from expensive converters which merely translate the analogue stick movements into mouse axis) Whether this was done via hardware, or via software, it is still a limitation of the console.
What VGA said was absolutely correct. Both the lack of keyboard/mouse support and the low player-vs-player count are down to limitations of the console. He never specified HARDWARE, he just said "console limitations" and he was correct. You were not. Troll less, think more.

The only reason why I played CS, CSS, MW, WAW and most of the other online shooters for as long as I did, because of the servers I found. Servers with mature players, constantly present admins ready to kick out any asshole, and the rules that I agreed with. This is how we formed clans and such. Heck I felt downright bored whenever the server I liked was full and I had to join another one. Especially for COD 4, it was just a tube and nade fest on unregulated servers. But join server like 7Cav, and its instantly fun, and no idiotic deaths.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

LOL! Nice try at backing out of it. Figured you were too much of a ladyboy to admit you were wrong.
P.S. You can already use a standard USB Keyboard and Mouse in the console Dashboards, and you can even use the KB to enter text when prompted in certain games.
Suck it Trebek!
Thought you had me on ignore anyway, so I guess I can add that to the list of spinelessness as well.

Between the helicopter in flames and the shooting in the alleys I couldn't not think to the MW2 vid of the favelas level...sometime games are quite realistic

Thats exactly his point, Limitation meaning its limited to text and not actual gameplay. We were talkning about the fact that we cant use KB/Mouse in games. Nothing to do with messaging.
So. Cancelled my PC pre-order. Pre-ordered for PS3. That's the better choice at the moment, right? I want to play multiplayer without any hassles. PCgaming ftw, ofc. But it looks like this game could be a better experience on consoles

better ? no. The same ... that's whats pissing us off ...

Oh I'm well aware that you can't use them in games, but this is not a 'console limitation', i.e. limited by the console. It's a developer decision not to support it.
Also, on the idea that 8v8 battles is another 'console limitation': www.mag.com. 256 player FPS battles.. on console.
Hopefully finish single player by the time i get the PS3 version. Can't wait for that. I have in a way (shamefully, sorry) .. begun thinking about consoles. What have the fuckers done to me. I just wish I could play all the quality games on PC. I have been turned

With minimal latency in mind, it can be assumed that the netcode only supplies the player with the core information required to maintain the game world client-side. So what happens when you deliberately aim to overflow the client with colossal amounts of data? What happens if you decide to mass all 256 players in one area? Zipper has it covered.
"From the first day of development it was always assumed that you could, and most certainly would (think group photos), have all 256 players in the same area," says Jason Tartaglia. "MAG is an open environment game; players are not shut off from entering common play spaces. In order to facilitate this, be it design-driven or player-induced, the tech would need to deliver enough performance to handle this worst-case scenario. Toward this goal we benchmarked our progress against 256 automated clients, in a grid, at one metre spacing, and all firing continuously, throughout development. This allowed us to keep a close eye on these potential conditions. Additionally, we used in-house replays of large 256-player battles to profile our code against the most common real-world situations. Players of MAG will not detect any differences from the start of a game to the culminating moments at the centre of a 256-player level with everyone in close proximity."

Seriously, i feel bad for you guys. Even if i joined the dark side, PC gaming will always be better than console...but now, with MW2, you downgraded to our level and thats fuckin bad.
