That car still wont make top10 of the top gear test track fast times http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear_Test_Track & only beat GT-r around nurburgring is because the nurburgring is a fast low downforce trackwith lots of fast straights & bends,not many heavy breaking/slow corners like on a lot of short circuits,nearest corvette came in 25th on that test track

And this is relevant because...?
Not really relevant to Forza 3 paticually,but its on the subject of cars that may appear in forza 3?
Looks great to me, also wait for final version. IMO it's the best looking road driving game to date, with DIRT2 being the best looking offroad driving game.
Game looks good, but those screens where obviously renders.
Which ones? You mean the ones during loading screens? Obviously they are renders...

THESE are renders? Are you fuckin serious? The only thing I don't remember from the demo is depth of field, everything else looks the same, especially the track, it looks identical. Cars look the same too, maybe they are slightly higher poly count cos of photo mode but it's hard to tell.

Well, at least those screenshots have been tweaked with. Just look at the details. No game looks so flawless... and yeah, iv seen the demo in action. It looks GOOD, but not _THAT_ good

They just bumped up antialiasing for screenshots so they look very smooth. Nothing unheard off, rockstar does it all the time. Remember GTA3 PS2 screenshots with like 8x antialiasing?
The difference with forze3 is that it actually has 2x or 4x antialiasing in game.
yeah, I see their point and all, PR, PR PR. But its so fucking annoying. You don't really know what you get. There have been so many times people have been like omg, "it looks so great"
The game is released and people are like "om... this so average "
Heard the devs said the 360 still had more to go on. While Crytek says they have to wait until nextgen consoles are out to make their CryEngine 3 run smooth.
If the screenshots are real they were sure taken in photo mode, were they bump up the AA and use advanced lightning techniques. Until we see the photo mode in the retail game we won't be able to tell if they were real or faked.
Edit: the photos linked several posts before this are downscaled AKA supersampled. When you downscale an aliased game screenshot the scalng algorithm does a good job in eliminating jaggies and makes the screenshot seem better.
Most of those screenshots are from photomode, and one or two might be from replay mode. The average punter might be fooled but most everyone knew what to expect.
As an example of what photomode can provide (on the PS2 no less);
lol whoever did this pics really tried to let forza 3 look worse then it is. Just look at the GT screenshots, almost every shot that looks good, does so because the sunlight comes from the side and creates nice light and shadow effects. The forza 3 screenshots are always taken with direct sunlight from the front or from the back so that the shadow and light effects aren't very good visible...
Not sure how you come to that conclusion, especially as the lighting is fixed for the levels in question, and besides which it could easily work both ways. The contrast and structure of the environment in Forza has a lot more 'pop' to it whereas the track in GT5p is washed out. The two games don't have much between them graphically, but it's my opinion GT5p remains the best looking if we take into account its replay mode and the higher level of detail in NPC cars and indeed the number of NPC cars. Here's a video of the two in action;
...they both look amazing, but I think GT5p still holds its own against the newcomer, graphically speaking.
On the other hand I know which game I'd actually be playing if I had an XBOX, subscription to XBOX Live and a Fanatec wheel (as I'm not downgrading from a G25 to the MS). I'm really liking the sound of the 'play, create, share' storefront approach in Forza 3. I've heard for example livery creators can put their stuff up for sale, and even limit the amount of copies available so that rare designs can exist in the gameworld. Stuff like that, in amongst all the usual shit, just sounds like a lot of fun to me. [fanboy] Inferior graphics or not. [/fanboy]
Thanks for confirming my thoughts that you were trolling.
thanks for confirming my suspicions that you are a tard!
I have an opinion, and surely a forum, by definition, would be where to voice those opinions.
I do not like the look of this game, it looks awful and plays like an arcade racer and not the super simulator they are trying to sell it as. It has a high frame rate but low quality graphics is all I am saying. Where is the windscreen FFS ???????
Ispep, well your pictures and videos do a lousy job at trying to prove that GT5 looks better. I hate that bland, clinical, sterile look for GT5. Forza3 looks exciting, warm and inviting. Also notice how none of the pictures showed Forza's damage, because GT5 doesn't have any so they can't compare.
I hate to say this, but since I played both, I can tell you the Mini is badly modeled in Forza 3 compared to GT5 and looks like a "game" and definitely not like the real car (which I own too ).
