It all depends on what pads you have, my P3200 has two analogue/axis triggers - but not all do.

Ah right, mine is lol..

"The Xbox controller features two analog sticks, a pressure sensitive directional pad, two analog triggers"

Been fiddling with this shit, and final see the axis info, i see even though you can change it in xpadder to an axis it still acts as a button on my triggers, so them saying that the triggers are analgue is bullshit they aint, ive tried using them as X Y Z RX RY RZ variants, and all that work as analogue inputs with gradual speed changes and movement are both my sticks.. thats it..

i wanted my acceleration and brakes on triggers it was easier that way ,, oh well at least the sticks function as analgue...

Sabin!!! Very Happy

I have done it, remapped triggers that were saying they were buttons into RY RX- axis rotations Very Happy

My xbcd drivers I use for getting controller to work in windows, the setings utility allowed me to take as you can see in screenshot, (look bottom left of top image)

(TR) triggers, were saying button 11 and 12,, so clicked on the little button next to that where it showed the button number opens the box on the right, changed that to axis type..

Went to windows tab on the settings app and held triggers and as u can see by blue bar its working Very Happy

went into some racing games and wallah! I know have brake and acceleration pressure controlled on my triggers like it was a analogue stick/trigger..

fucking joy!!!

Awesome! Well done, mate Smile I remember having the OPPOSITE issues in games with my 360 pad; some games didn't like triggers/axis, so they wouldn't let me map. Instead I used a modified XBCD which allowed me to set the triggers as digital, so they could be used as buttons Very Happy

Kudos bud!

yeah its funny, i could buy a nice pad for low cash amount, but ive had a blast hacking an original controller from xbox to bits soldering it to a usb connector and then getting it running as i want lol..

also whats nice about the old xbox buttons is they have 256 detent depressing analogue sensors.. so in effect you could use buttons for pressure stuff as well Very Happy

its only the old xbox controller that does it i believe but i think only one game ever took advantage of the analogue button options..

I remember the same stuff with the PS2 controller, full pressure sensitive buttons (triggers too, and iirc; the d-pad as well on certain aftermarket PS2 controllers) --- but only a handful of games, if that, even supported it.

btw, with CPU like yours,it's better to turn the Speed hack for this game off,
like I said,it's causing problems to the cut scenes.

I'll give it a try once I find the PS2 version of MUA2. Have you tried the Wii version yet? would you say the PS2 one is consistently faster? The Wii one never drops below 45fps for me (out of 60) and still feels playable.

Flawless Very Happy

PCSX2 1736. D3D10 Hardware. Native res (using enhanced internal one results in minor "speckling" on the graphics as well as making characters look "too" smooth, like they're made out of glass), MicroVU enabled and 1.5x Sync-Hack.

Full speed, no gameplay issues. Movies are.... well... bad. Stuttery and laggy, but only on FMVs. I'll turn off Sync-Hack and see what happens.

=Update=

Running with NO Sync-Hack enabled gives perfect cutscenes/FMVs, no more stutter or lag -- but sadly framerate drops to 50 instead of full 60. Best solution? Run game with 1.5x Sync and disable it during FMVs Wink

It's basically identical to the Wii version and, perhaps, looking a bit worse too. Aliasing like a motherfucker! Only way to clear that crap up is to use a larger internal resolution, but that adds its own graphical glitches.

*laughs* All 3D, though they look really poor (N-Space is getting a shitload of flak over the Wii and PS2 versions .. from VERY angry fanboys not happy with how crappy the graphics are)

Gameplay wise, however, it's a blast! There's no way the PS2 or Wii versions were going to look anything like the "Big" console counterparts, or even come close to have the original game looked, so I don't know what all the bitching is about. Want better graphics? Buy a PS3 or 360. :-\

Nobody knows and any time someone asks, the threads get locked. Basically, PC gamers can look forward to not having MUA2. "Don't like it? Tough" Sad

Yeah? Well fuck YOU and the fucking boat you came in on. I'll just pirate the Wii and PS2 versions and play them on an emulator.

By the way, guys, has anyone tried running Resident Evil: Code Veronica in either its DC or PS2 incarnation? I gave it a shot using nullDC 1.0.3, the latest version, but for some reason I'm having a lot of trouble aiming the damn pistol. I don't remember having this much difficulty in RE2 and RE3, so I'm guessing there might be some problem with the emulation/CD image.

Clcancellation,

most of PS2 games are still incompatible with PCSX2 so I wouldn't say it's easy as that. Silent Hill Origins is still unplayable. Damn.

Well, blame it on the patch-job development they are doing on per-game basis, instead of implementing the entire instructions set. Might take longer to make, but will at least guarantee compatibility for most part. What happens now, is they fix something for one game, and trigger bugs in others. Sad
