Things aren't mutually exclusive. If it has disk check I will buy it too, but I enjoyed it a week before release (and probably much longer in the case of Israeli stores).

Easiest would probably be to take the retail release and add the existing crack, should work fine as the cracked EXE is just a small launcher for the game EXE.
(PhysX and similar bugs, triggers are probably fixed as well.)

Though my guess is that we'll see a different crack from one of the larger groups, hopefully without protection triggers.

online version will most likely have securom (because the leaked version had paul.dll)
disk version will most likely have securom + disk check

as for the crack, if it requires some people to start the game from the start, that's not exactly what i'd call a proper crack.. i am sure a scene release will come with a crack which will be a reworked (possibly better) variant of what is already out there

And scene crack won't require a restart? That's flawed logic. Embarassed

It requires restart because the triggers affect save games.

With the latest loader/crack I managed to play it all the way through without any problems. Why is it torture if the game works fine, even if Physx isn't there..

That's what I figured, but now I'm not getting a grapple point in the first Scarecrow level. Screw this, I'll wait...

As long as it doesn't have damn install limit (dvd version) I'm gonna buy it for sure. The game rocks and really deserves being bought by anyone who enjoys action/stealth genre. :>

actually, not 100% true, but i suspect the scene crack will probably have a crack fix or a proper or 10 Smile

Well it was certainly true for me. I got the no-grapple trigger, installed the newest crack, trigger is still there. I have to start again from fresh, which I'm not willing to do until final retail gets here.

I got to the botanical garden bug, restarted with the new crack and finished the game in a little over 7 hours, with 196 riddles solved. 75% game completion, and i havent played any challenges. Gotta say best game of the year, hands down.

PhysX option is missing or is locked in the full retail (yes, the game is out!).

http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=95700

http://forums.eidosgames.com/showpost.php?p=1176217&postcount=8

edit makes me think the leak is the actual GOLD game, not a near final BETA. They'll probably release a patch with updated files to enable PhysX.

So it's the same as the version that is already out then. Glad I didn't wait for the retail now. Smile

Yeah, I guess. That also explains why D2D had early access to an unfinished game: it wasn't unfinished! Eidos planned to release it in this state, anyway, and patch it with PhysX later (perhaps on day 1?)

And then like you peoples were all like, "YOU IS TROLLIN!" and I was like "I AM NOT TROLLING!! I AM guess_who_kthxbai YOU SEE! Mm!"

Just remembered something: in CD-Action review the guy playing the game wrote that PhysX was pretty impressive albeit it lowers your FPS a little... So review-only copies had PhysX... Maybe Batman has some kind of online activation?

I don't know, this seem really weird...

Its good it wasnt any longer (unless there is actual content for that time as well). It felt like there was an extreme amount of content in there and its been compressed to those hours, which makes it the awesome experience it is, imo. Smile

Yeah, I agree. I can't remember one boring part of the game.

i agree 7 hours for 70% isway too fast your first time, but 8 hours for 20%? Unless you spent several hours on challenges no way. It's maybe a 15-20 hour game at a normal pace.
