Fahrenheit was easy-peasy, try QTE in Mercenaries 2 on PC Laughing
I played it via gamepad and it was easy, Fahrenheit on the other hand was insane, I played that one with a keyboard, BIG mistake, you need a gamepad for that crap.

I always thought it was a cheap trick, Fahrenheit is such a great adventure game and it's half ruined by quick button time events or whatever they call it. The other half was ruined with that stupid ending Laughing

played it with the keyboard, had zero problems with the qtes. and yes, they dropped the ball with the story, but what people usually seem to forget is that all that aliens/robots/mayans/??? stuff was only tacked in towards the end. the rest was mucho excellente

Funny, that's nearly the same response a user from that site gave after seeing them.

http://www.actiontrip.com/rei/comments_news.phtml?id=082409_7

EDIT: It does look a bit dated though but it's a rather small area that's shown.

EDIT: Though this - http://www.actiontrip.com/rei/scr.phtml?cat=f&platform=pc&pic=starwarstheforceunleashed9 - is comparable to this in terms of detail - http://www.actiontrip.com/rei/scr.phtml?cat=f&platform=pc&pic=starwarstheforceunleashed4 - so I don't think it's a port from a older generation console as I doubt the PS2 can handle advanced shaders unless they were added later for the PC version.

I can't believe you guys...

This is the PS2:

Does it really have any resemblance to this?

I think it looks identical to the 360...

An nVidia trademark complaint Cool Face

If there's no PhysXxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx then it's obviously shit Razz

As for me? Meh. I loved the game on the 360, but I predict a massive clusterfuck on the PC version, especially for the majority of PC gamers are who still using dual-core chips.

I call bullshit, thank you very much. Either that or you have VASTLY different standards on what is "fine".

Medium settings and a stuttering fuckmess isn't "fine" (waits for Trollis to come in and claim he gets eleventy billion FPS with max settings Rolling Eyes)

By "fine" I mean High texture settings, with 20 or so view distance, 45 detail distance, 45 vehicle density, no dynamic shadows.

Benchmark says 38 fps average, but it's bullshit.

I have around 32 average, measured with fraps. Lowest point- 18, highest point - 52.

Now sure, I'd rather have 40 or so FPS all the time, but it runs "fine". That, plus my GPU is old as hell (good ol GF 8800 GTS 640 mb), and though GTA IV is highly CPU dependant, it requires a lot of juice from GPU too.

ahhh, ok good point. I get about the same (E7200 + 4870). It's still a mess though, you have to admit that. 30's average on high-end (quad-less) PCs is a joke, it really is. I have pretty much the same settings as you (though I keep dynamic shadows on, it's an ugly mess without them Sad)

There's one built-in, but ignore it. Fixed setting, night-time, no pedestrians, no other cars, just you and three NPC/AI scooters driving through one street, shooting each other.

You'll get considerably higher framerate in the benchmark than you ever will in a true gameplay scenario.

+1

E8400 @ 4.2GHz here, runs GTA IV and any other game i've thrown at it flawlessly. I bet a quad isnt that much faster since i doubt any of them overclocks as well..

AMD quads overclock beautifully, i noticed that when my mate bought an AM2 940 quad black edition
his top frame rate didnt go up and he was still running at an average of 30 FPS in GTA4 the only thing it seemed to do was stop the stuttering in areas where you get a little frame drop compared to my dual core setup, apart from that we had similar systems at the time and it didnt make a whole lot of difference. It helped me make my mind up on weather to buy a quad or hold off for a while, especially as I could achieve the same results simply by optimising my OS and switching off all the un-needed background tasks to have the game running on a lean system.

And if TFU turns out to be a CPU hog thats probably when I will upgrade my shit.

Well I haven't tried the game yet, so one can only hope that it'll be anywhere near as good as the Jedi Knight series.. Smile

I was really looking forward to it and played it on the 360 and it was a huge disappointment.
It's cool in the beginning where you fight normal stormtroopers and stuff, but the further you get in the game the weaker you become, enemies get stronger and your force abilities are pretty much useless against most of them, so it simply stops beeing fun. it's just a chore.
even your lightsaber sucks for many enemies and you just end up spamming force lightning until everything drops dead.

maybe they fixed some of that in the pc version, who knows...
but if they didn't, there is not much to look forward to here.

Jedi Academy had the best lightsaber fights, this game is worth it if you are a SW fan, looking forward to the vsync tearing was awful probably because the graphics are great and the xbox can't handle it.

I so fucking hate this game.
FUCKING GREEN ORBS COME OUT OF DEAD ENEMIES!!!
And since when does a fucking stormtrooper or rebel need three hits with a motherfucking lightsaber to die? And no visible lightsaber damage, no dismemberment?
Fuck you Lucas Arts.
