gogo paradox! |
Even with this changes there is looooot to be desired... (Especially the map)
Thankfully its only on aesthetic (modifiable) level, so we'll just have to take punches from vanilla version until something better comes.
P.S.
But I still can't get around the poor feeling on how did they manage to misposition most important city (for instance Stalingrad) few hundred kilometers south of its real position. And even away from the river which goes next to it.

Close call, and I wish I had more time inform you more regularly.
For instance, Rivers in Europe are totally out of sync with actual provinces and cities... Let us not forget imaginary rivers too.
Dear god, were they pushed into publishing for sake of schedule or what? Is there something wrong with scene release or something? I'm just asking for feedback from those who got this game for hard money.

well if it detracts from playability with say AI not noticing water should be there, then its game breaking for historical purposes yes, if not then no biggie till new map appears..
What Im looking out for is the two sprite packs now, suprised they havent been put out already really...

Fix what? Events are no longer tethered to a strict timeline.
History will play out differently with each game.

yeah not sure id like to have "historical" outcomes all the time, it would be more fun to have random outcomes than tethered to a "must happen" scenario.

Talking about historical outcomes... I've replayed 1936 campaign 9 times, and every time Civil war in Spain ends somewhere between 2-5 months tops. Its hardly an alternative when its constant.
When in reality it lasted from July 1936 till late March 1939.

Nono don't get me wrong, I do no want a ww2 just like rl, but TWO MONTHS? Something is wrong, that never ever ever ever not even close happend in hoi2. But since you all go down in your defensive positions im not going to discuss the bugs any further. I guess it will take a few months before it's playable the way it should be. Don't get me wrong again, I will play.

Ah if its tried and tested more than often this is happening then yeah I shall agree with you.. Patch 1.1 was a nice amount of changes, but it obviously is in need of a little bit more eh... They never fail to deliver patches so fingers crossed.. And of course there is the community mods etc.
All is not lost.. I will be drudging the strategy guide tonight when the kids asleep for sure..

Isn't it tied to your form of government? As in, be a dictator and you can start a war at a whim.

I thought the tutorial was horrible... it doesn't really explain too much, really just gives you an overview of the basic interface, and the hitler thing sucked too.
They should concentrate on telling you how things work instead of pulling lame jokes and having half of the tutorial text beeing some bullshit about what you apparently think about the strange mad guy telling you what to do...
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.

I played HoI and HoI2 for countless hours, but didn't play them for like 2 years or so no now and forgot a lot.
I was hoping going through the tutorial would help refresh my memory, but the tutorial was useless and I'm still genuinly confused.
I guess after playing a while and getting my ass kicked it'll all come back to me, but I don't see someone new to HoI having the slightest idea of what to do after going through the tutorial.
There appears to be a free guide available for people who register the game though, but not sure how good that is.

Heard the inaccuracy of the map of Argentina is insulting, too. I wouldn't be surprised if many other countries had this kind of gruesome errors.
