Why wait for someone to try and take advantage of this issue maybe? And by the way who said it aint broken? The fact that it looks good doesn't really mean too much.

also when you have hacks installed, it can become a pain inthe arse to be upgrading once a month.
and if you dont install the hacks people moan "wheres quick reply" "w hy cant I do this" blah blah

I wasn't talking about THE number. I was talking about security fixes that were made in newer versions. I guess PHPBB didn't release newer version just because they wanted to raise the number, am i right?
