Thats some serious bullshitting on their part. I hope thats just for the DEMO, some quick bugfixes etc.
Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

Well, I just downloaded the demo off of STEAM -
1. My intro is in fucking German for some reason.
2. No Co/Op or Multiplayer features work (keeps nagging that I must be connected to STEAM, even though I launched it through steam).
Completely useless friendly AI.
Zombie AI sucks ass (to be expected I guess).
As it stands now, I wouldn't pay more than $15 for this mod.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Based on the demo, this game is amazing. I really didn't expect to like this, but fuck me, on high difficulty, when a hord runs around the corner, it's fucking breathtaking.
Also love that the enemies will never be the same pattern twice, as well as the breaking through doors and windows on the fly with no pre-scripts.
Brilliant.

The freaking game stutters like a bitch every time you enter a new area.
E6400
2GB Ram 800Mhz
8800GTS 320MB OCd
I'll restart the comp, defrag and shit and try again.
Question: How do you connect to a particular server that you know the IP of ?
Any console command ?
"openserverbrowser"

Finally I played the demo; ok the game is funny, but it's too repetitive for my taste, even with human players...I continue to prefer Zombie Panic (which is free) because of its strategical approach without mindless shooting

if you are running vista you might want to get more ram.
you can try /connect "ip address" with out the quotes, might work for valve games.

I'm already bored with it. the 'ai directory' hardly changes the game. Not worth 50 bucks. Zombie: Panic has more content.

I can only imagine all the community mods/maps bringing a ton to this game. Not only that but we played 1 1/2 parts of a full campaign. And I believe that the director adapting to the players is disabled in the demo.
I too at first thought it would be too repetitive but now see the potential. Wait until the full release.

Been playing the demo with some friends, great fun but.. even we don't know if it's worth shelling out for. How long will it last once you've played all the maps? I know encounters are randomly generated so it's "different" each time, but still.. the demo map has certainly gotten old despite this.
Perhaps versus mode is where the longevity is at, shame we won't get to try that before buying.
I think it would help if the game (or at least expert mode) was made harder by limiting ammo, having to share ammo and weapons like you do in Zombie Panic. Plus having the maps more open with certain routes becoming inaccessible due to a massive unbeatable horde or impossible boss, and being forced to go another way.

Hey all that information at once could scare the 360 users, we have to think about our less fortunate gamers.

Meh, I have little hopes for community maps. In CS some of the community maps looked great compared to stock ones or even better, but in recent games (even CS:S) community maps look more and more inferior to stock maps. There were some very good looking custom maps in CSS, but majority if them don't even have lighting and don't support player shadows. Same with TF2, majority of custom maps look horrid. I hope that there will be some really good and polished maps done by pros in L4D, but majority will be shit from people without a clue.

Not a frame rate problem.
Apparently its a CPU multi-core issue, Valve is aware of it and is working on a fix.
Effects a small percentage of users.
I will try to force the game to use one core and see if the stuttering is gone.
