Fantastic series, in my opinion it's up there with Rome as one of the most unyielding dramatizations there is!

Fuckin' A! Can't wait to get home and see the new ep. Especially after the ending of the 6th season...
This is my fav tv show so the 7th season was highly anticipated by me! Can't fucking wait!

Because you can't compare a in-your-face-camaraderie-cop-drama-with-shaky-cam to an in-depth show with realism, a heavy storyline and deep character progression that has a social commentary? 
I like The Shield a lot for what it is, but The Wire is in a different league. |

Seems like the subtitles also work with the repack. I checked two points in the episode, one in the beginning and one near the end, and they were in sync.
Haven't seen any specific subtitles for the repack, and not for the x264 release either (The.Shield.S07E01.RNFO.HR.PDTV.X264-DIMENSION).

DAM!!!!! Totally missed this series. And now i am addicted cause of you guys  . Watched season 1-2 back to back yesterday, 2 episodes this morning before work, guess what...I was LATE FOR WORK!  .
Will also check out "The Wire" missed that one to.

Wow 9.7/10 on IMDB - that's pretty high! But make no mistake - show kicks some serious butt.
Oh, i almost forgot, the main theme (each season has the sam theme but in different styles) is fucking AWESOME! It simply is.

Yeah a great actor and a great character, and I've never seen the guy (Kenny Johnson) in anything before The Shield. And Shane's such a bastard, hope Vic lays some punishment on him before the end, he deserves it. |

CaptainCox : you definately wanna see the Wire. To me it's the best show that has ever hit our screens. Compared to the Shield it definately slow paced. But it has rich dialogues, a very realistic feel and topnotch acting. Just try the two first seasons (the second one is the best imo) and then decide if you continue.
EVERY single one of my friends I recommended this show to, absolutely adores it.
And i generally have a good taste in shows ; )
