Saw it on the german fantasy film fest.
He plays himself and shows us that he CAN act .....,
(The monologue in the middle of this movie is really awesome  )

I watched this just after the wrestler, which does the sympathy for big tough guy thing in JCVD much better. JVCD was still good though, I felt the bit where he slowly moves up into the roof and talks about himself was good and the general idea.

Well something like that, you know it is Jean Claude Van Damme :/ I never thought him to be a good actor, for me he fits in the category of actors like: Dolf Lundgren, Casper Van Dien... you know, not really Oscar material

Holy shit! The movie is good, but Van Damme is really good in the movie and his monologue is impressive. I dont know if that's because he acts very good or he doesn't have to, cause he's talking about his life?
I think everyone should forget about Van Damme's "karate" movies and see JCVD.
