I finally got my new rig. I have q6600 on stock cooling and aerocool extreme engine 3t as the case. How clockable is it in your opinion?

At least 3.4-3.6Ghz....at least, but with stock heat sink...maybe 3.0
Go Water cooled if you wanna push that baby high!

naaah im not gonna buy watercooling. Just wanna take out as much as i can from it.
If i rememeber correctly i had a fan on q6600(i opened the case for a sec).
3.0ghz would be good enough for me. But i want to know what FSB and that other number should i use and does it matter what kind of RAM i have.

Most the people I know who bought any Quad series didn't even glance at the stock cooling solution. Instead they bought aftermarket cooling alongside the CPU purchase.
Those things are BBQ's so unless you get one of the many enthusiast level Tower Heatsinks don't expect miracles.

got to 3.6ghz with a crappy arctic cooling heatsink without breaking a sweat. Often run at 3.2 tho as my old oc'ed san diego suffered a premature death..
all depends whether you have g0 stepping or not, if you do then you can expect at least 3-3.2ghz absolute minimum. Can use cpuz-id to check.
