It seems ages since I played a decent game on the PC. I think the last one I played was C&C TW that came in March. So is there anything else coming out soon or will it be a dry year for pc gaming, once again???

Thnaks for the heads up. Bioshock looks worth waiting. Other games you mentioned are multi-platform releases, and we all know how those end up on the PC.

Left 4 Dead will become the next "big thing" in multiplayer I believe. In grandness I'd guess it will end up better or as good as CS, Quake or BF.
It will perhaps be released later this summer.

Isn't Stranglehold that worthless John Woo crap?
MOHA looks just like every other MOH. Nothing really new except you get to choose your starting point. And as always, no german campaign, just the usual thing we've seen a billion times now.

And what exactly is the nazi campaign? Getting 0wn3d by Russians 101? Jeez, sounds so interesting.

I see no point to a nazi campaign, unless it a retelling of the war. Seeing as MOH/COD/BOA are realistic games, that won't happen.

There's a huge point in a german campagin. Just because you wouldn't like it?
It would give the game a bit more deapth and a bit original thinking.
If some games have campaings with the russian rape-machinery that was the Red Army, then a german campaign would be nothing to argue about. Althoug, of course, all the tight assed censors and media would crap themselves if such a thing emerged.
And if they ever did a german campaign it would have to be a lame "the player turns against the atrocitys and further in the game tries to assassinate Hitler/Himmler/whatever".
Other games than FPS games have german campaings.

I didn't say I wouldn't like it. I said there was no point. If you know you will lose eventually, what's the point in playing it? It has nothing to do with the being nazis.

They could just have an alternate history WW2 where you play as the Nazi's, it is a game after all.
Doesn't have to be any less realistic, they did come very close to breaking the allies more then once. A few simple changes to the timeline and you've got Nazi victory in Europe.

Bioshock is multi-platform aswell remember.

That's exactly my point. But MOH and BIA being made by large, politically correct companies, there's no chance of that ever happening.

Losing has nothing to do with it. I kept playing the Silent Hunter 2+3 campaigns, although things were getting harder and harder and we were getting pwned bad. Actually made it dramatic and memorable ...
EDIT: The Silent Hunter campaigns are german side.

Yeah, but you had what to aspire to, right (don't know the stories of SH 2/3)? It's not like you knew you was gonna lose the war anyway, yet continued to play the campaign.

Leo...you do realize the Nazi's didn't have their asses handed to them at the start right? It's quite easy to just make the campaign before them getting their asses handed since they took over those countries in a heart beat, you could be playing that story, thus leading up to WWII...unless of course you think it'd be useless, then of course you can just throw that idea away.

Well it goes to say if you hate Woo or Yun-Fat, Stranglehold is not the game for you. But it looks like an excellent third person shooter, even better if you're fan of the aforementioned people or liked Hard Boiled.

Uh yeah, cause it is so realistic to walk on rooftop slopes that are 70-80 degrees downwards (MOHA). It is so realistic that your teamies are worthless pawns that do nothing (all 3). It is so realistic that you can just retreat and recharge your health (COD and others). Realism went out the window of all those franchises a long time ago.

Guys half those comments are off topic ;/
The next "big one" is 100% Bioshock. Then after that, Crysis. Then starcraft 2. Those are BIG games, crap like medal of honour, world in conflict, hell gate london etc are nothing compared to these games. (100% regardless of what games you like, these are the 'big ones' in all sense of the term.)

There wasn't exactly much fighting during that period, most of the time the Germans just walked in unopposed or with minimal conflict.
