I tried it. Honestly, just using DLSS Performance is a better experience than FSR + FG. Latter has so much input lag, blur and artifacting. If NVidia's FG is comparable to this, I'm suddenly not at all unhappy about not getting the option for my 3080.

eh what
from 50 to 100 fps here, no artifacts, perceivable blur (native AA used) or more latency than expected
it's a good deal if you're using controller, but less so for m/k due to frame pacing and the extra 20-30ms latency (not bad at all here, but could be a dealbreaker in an FPS game)
forspoken still has frame pacing issues in specific areas, it might be better to aim for a specific fps cap but i was happy with uncapped/vsync
shit is literal magic given it requires 0 additional hardware, amd just shitting out the free fake frames here
i had to toggle vsync on my control panel before it was smooth and many mention there are issues with variable rate refresh, hopefully amd can sort it out at some point
i think those poor nvidia ai chips gonna need a new role
Demo crashes on starting up on my system. Reinstalled GPU drivers, update Windows, reinstalled the game, verified game files, removed RAM OC etc. etc. it just doesn't start. Everything else works normally though.
Anyone having similar issues?

your hardware specs?
forspoken engine is custom shit so i wouldn't be tearing up your machine to boot it when it's probably just not working with your setup
not sure if the demo is less stable than retail, i'm using retail never had a crash in 50h

Thanks, in the end, it was my Thrustmaster USB flightstick, that made it crash
when launching through steam. Weirdly it worked through the epic store.

Judging purely from my own experience in the Forspoken Demo, FSR3 FG is ok. But it won't make a 25FPS Game magically make 100FPS without loss of quality and magically enhance input lag on top. It's good enough if you have 60 base FPS and want to go 100-120 FPS on a higher refresh monitor. But it's not magic indeed. Personally, I will probably use it when I can.

I will always keep saying that if you want "frame generation" on any card, hook your PC to any TV and turn on motion smoothing.
It is literally the exact same thing except it's not overhyped like some AI magic bullshit.. you'll see the exact same artifacts and input lag. In most cases even this bullshit is far worse than how the TV handles it.
I have seen zero evidence it being anything more than that.
You should try it then. Your TV doesn’t have access to motion vectors on which FG is based to calculate interpolated images. It makes all the difference.

I'm talking about the results not the method. Most implementations I've seen fail to differentiate between UI and 3D resulting in the same smudgy artifacts and jitterness.
It's too undercooked. It's so advanced it fails to beat basic TV interpolation

fsr3 doesn't have this problem so there's that
not sure about hypr-rx, which is much closer to tv interpolation in reality.. not seen any footage of ui problems even with that myself
I have a different experience in Forspoken Demo. Adding FG on top of FSR3 Quality and enabling V-Sync in the driver gives me exactly 100FPS to match the 100Hz of my monitor and its buttery smooth. The only issue is the jaggies that are added through FSR.
edit: 45FPS base framerate is too low. But we knew that already. AMD recommends 60FPS base framerate.
