Anyone else having problems with the epistrophy (car) quests? They seem bugged to me, the cars aren't responding when I get near them. Do you need a specific implant or something?
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
It turns of some effects off that are not accessible from the ingame menu, like ScreenSpace Heat Haze or Planar Reflections.... So it degrade graphic effects for perfomance. There is no "Optimations" enginewise as far a i see.

You should have received some kind of upload or transplant from the main AI when you visit the headquarters (which stars the questline to begin with). That's all you should need.
I've had a few bugs like that with the epistrophy quests , or sometime the car will just bash itself against a wall like it's stuck for 10 minutes.
Been using the PCDerper settings on 3090, they work grand
For maximum quality and performance, on an RTX card, we recommend starting at the RT Ultra preset. Then disable Chromatic Aberration and Motion Blur, set the four Local and Cascaded Shadow options to medium, and the two Volumetric options to medium as well. Keep RT Reflections on, turn off RT Shadows, and finally set RT Lighting to medium. DLSS should be at Auto. Note that Screen Space Reflections Quality and Ambient Occlusion overlap with RT Reflections and RT Lighting, respectively—they won't hurt or help performance if you're using RT. That should result in playable (30 fps or more) performance on any RTX card at 1080p, and on the RTX 2070 Super these settings averaged 45-50 fps in most areas of Night City.
With my GTX 1660S, the only settings I set below High are AO and Volumetric clouds (both to Medium), everything else is set to High (all RT is off, of course), except for screenspace reflections which is set to Ultra. Getting between 40 and 60 fps at nearly all times.
Hm, guess I'm out of that questline then until they fix it
Just had the campfire scene with Panam, which was
So I can't be angry with the game at this time.
She's great!
The ending sold the scene for me. It's just a detail really, but I noticed in a vid on youtube that the guy playing didn't have (or rather notice) it, which makes it all the more special
(hopefully not too much of a spoiler?)
After looking up at the stars, I looked down at Panam again, and she was already looking at me straight in the eyes, and after a few seconds, she finally says goodnight. The dialog continues if you keep looking up, so you can miss it and then the scene just fades to black, but it felt like a crucial mmoment to me.
It's rare, when the stars align, and gameplay, visuals, music and voices all come together perfectly to make for a truly emotional and memorable moment.
Last game I had this was What Remains of Edith Finch, with the baby/bathtub scene. (music/visuals were perfectly synched in my game, with the water ballet of the toys matching the Tchaikovski song, but when I let my gf try it, it didn't work the same at all)

Anyone else wonder how much has been cut of the game probably to afford keanu?
Seems like Jackie's arc was heavily cut to make more room for keanu, probably a lot of features as well.
I'm at the ending after doing most story side quests and I feel like the game is a lot of fun but could've been so much more if a huge chunk of money didn't go to a celeb appearance which was neither asked for nor would've been missed. His voice acting is quite bland and is outdone by some very minor npc's.
Wouldn't surprise me that that little montage in the opening was originally part of the game.
The entire intro gave me the impression that it was heavily edited (corpo path)

The stuff that got cut might be put back in later. A lot of people have said they wished they could play the events that takes place in the Jackie montage so who knows, with enough demand it could be added as DLC and for all anyone knows, CD Projekt Red might have had that planned all along.

I don't think many things were cut to make room for Keanu. I think the majority of the cuts were made due to the increase in complexity and deadlines.
The prologue, the lifepaths, the choices/dialogues, the importance of gangs/corporations and Pacifica, these were all butchered. I highly doubt Keanu is the reason why for any of these losses.
Hiring him for this project couldn't cost CDPR more than 1-2 million dollars, that's not much in a 200 million project. It wouldn't have made a big difference in terms of content if he wasn't in the game. And the Johnny Silverhand part is one of Cyberpunk's strongest aspects and he nailed it.

Nomad here but all backstory prologues are super short from what I heard and don't change anything. In previous gameplay footage they released they showed jackie bought a new car and wants to show it to you, you also visit his mom and you could have him in the mission you meet the corpo lady etc. None of that in the game. So it makes his death kinda meh, "Hi, we're friends now, now I die to leave room for keanu they paid a pretty penny for him"
There's also a lot of missing features, like piloting the bot u buy off the maestroms, jackie does that instead.
Anyway, we can always hope for the "Enhanced edition" fall 2021 or '22.

Perhaps it didn't affect features much, but it did the story. I disagree about his performance, it's passable at best, no punch to his lines at all. it's as if he's always whispering.

Also this is by far the worst implementation of screen space reflections I've seen. The grainy look is just way too distracting even at max settings it's better for your eyes if it's turned off completely. I'm not sure if this was done intentionally to promote RTX

I assume they didn't want to have the Quadra available because that's one of the mid to high tier cars, but maybe they swapped from a car to a bike because the vehicle handling is so fucking dire.
Speaking of his vehicle, it's a bit weird that he asks to borrow V's car to take Misty out on a date. It kind of gives the impression they just hooked up, but later on when Misty talks about him it kind of seems like they were already together for a while. I wonder if that's another casualty of the cuts.

I noticed that as well. A lot of the backstory just shows up out of nowhere. it definitely could use a director's cut revamp of the whole main story because it feels too rushed and heavily cut.
